See where Dragonball all began. A little edited, but not a bad pickup for kids at $7.50. Though I warn you this is a poor quality release. No Sub. But if you have kids they may be interested.

Just one more question, is there any chance they will just make a box set for these eventually?

I dunno. I would hope they rerelease this in an uncut vrsion. But since they geared the Dragon Ball line more towards children I doubt it. With Dragon Ball they've been packaging disks in "Saga's. and this is the first one. It's also the first dragonball one they did, hence the poor quality of the set. But it does include thirteen episodes and a movie.

Yea, I have the original dragon ball collection on vhs. So I'm glad I picked this up cheap. Master Roshi is a real pervert in these. Thanks Admiral Ackbar.

Eh not a big dragonball fan, liked z more and hated gt.
I bought this set cheap wayyyy back when my local On-Cue was closing down; got it on the cheap. I liked it. Although the voices were laughable, and it was edited, it is still a pretty good show.

I liked the original dragon ball more than DBZ.

i watched some of this on cartoon network a while back. the editing isn't too obvious unless you've read the manga or seen the original anime. for some reason i remember clearly this one part where bulma gets the pig to do what she wants by dangling some panties at him. the edited version replaced the panties with dollar bills. i'll wait for a deal on the unedited version. um, cause i'm a purist. it's not about the panties.

its always about the panties

During the "at least $7 for each dvd" trade in deal at blockbuster they gave me about $13 for this set. Maybe you could still trade it in for that amount...

same with me, didn't reall enjoy Dragon Ball. I was hooked to dragon ball z (saw every episode), and I just wasn't enjoying GT at all. I will get this for my brother since it's cheap.

This isn't the Funimation version of the series, since they don't have the rights to that saga. It's the old Pioneer version, which I don't like at all. I'll wait for the Funimation version to be released.

So, this isn't the one that started airing in 2001? It's now $5.50 btw.

Nope, but for that price it's not bad. Just if you're expecting the newer stuff then don't get this.
