Thanks for the info. So can there be another reason that you get the blue screen and "Re-establishing connection" message, just poor network quality, host box quit the match, etc? I played a couple of hours of Rumble Pit yesterday afternoon and this happened in two games, once taking more than a minute to reconnect. I can't remember which games or if there was a person who was way ahead of everyone else or not after this, but now after reading your explanation I'm going to be on the lookout the next time this happens, unless of course there really are legit reasons that occurs.

There are legit reasons why you can get the "Re-Establishing connection" screen. When someone is cheating, it is easy to recognise in objective based games (the instant win for example). In a Rumble Pit or Team Slayer match, the easiest indicator will be if you reconnect to the game, and almost instantly die. At least I think this is the case. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Another good indicator of the standby cheating in rumble slayer or team slayer is that after you reconnect the opposing team is up by a number of points more than when you first encountered the blue screen.

We also had a game of 1 flag CTF against some jackasses who did the 'hog cheat, they had our flag in no time at all. They scored, we scored, and we shut them down on their second round, where three of them quit before their second round was over. When it was our second round, they all disappeared in about 30 seconds, and we won by default. I looked for that game and couldn't find any. I reported them all for cheating.

His thought was that Arikado was carrying the rest of us, including Jimmy and me. Which is complete crap, we were working at a team, which I tried to remind him of more than once. And therefore, he proclaimed that he could beat anyone 1-on-1, and Arkiado chimed up immediately. Plenty of bitching and complaining from him before the game, though he finally agreed to it.

And a bunch of the time, this jackass whined and griped about it being boring, that he wasn't paying his full attention during the first game because he was eating his dinner at 2AM, yada freaking yada. He also wanted to not play the game out to 25, just to 15. When Arikado went ahead 15-14, the other guy disappeared.

I know there's more, but I'm sure Arikdao can explain it better than I. The other guy was trying to act like he's all that and a bag of chips, but he was all that and a bag of wind. And rightfully put into his place.

I looked for the game and didn't see it in my list of games.

The NayR guy jumped ahead pretty quick and got like three kills on me early. I was having terrible luck with the shotgun, so I just decided not to touch it anymore. I started to rack up kills once I grabbed the plasma pistol/magnum dual wield combo. Everytime the guy would kill me, he would say "This is boring... just go ahead and give up," or something along those lines. He made the challenge and kept the kill count up at 25, yet he was bitching the whole time I started to come back on him.

For the 15th kill, I hit him with a plasma pistol charged shot and then shot him in the face with the battle rifle. The moment he hit the ground, he quit. He makes the challenge, says he can own me, then quits when I take the lead from him. If that isn't being a total pussy, I don't know what is.

I sent him a message and asked him why he quit. He said it was because the game was getting boring, his friends that were watching left and that one of his old friends who he hadn't played with in a while signed on. Bullshit in my opinion, but whatever. I just find it odd that he quit the moment I took the lead from him.

And I agree with Crymson, I don't like one-on-ones much, either, but I felt the need to put this douche in his place. He was by no means a terrible player, but he was a cocky, whiny one. The moment he quit was very satisfying.

It's wierd, though... the game isn't appearing on my stat page, just like Shrike. Hmmm. Oh well.

Very true. The only reason I embellished it was the fact that the guy quit before finishing the game, even though he chose the parameters for the entire thing.

Yea I had fun playing with the A team last night even though it seemed I got blindsided by a wraith a lot. It seemed like we were working together so well that all we had to do was use simple tactics and the other team didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of stopping us. The 4 on 8 stunk though and the other team had the gall to talk trash during it!

I had a great time, before having to leave the group last night. The highlight for me was a nice team slayer battle where I got to showcase my running skills, and lured the winning kill directly to Arikado. Further proof that the clan is working well together as a team. ;)

Asside from the one team of asshats thinking we were lagging the line to cheat, it was a very enjoyable night.

I haven't played in a few days becuase I was going out with friends, and it was my girlfriends birthday Saturday. I should be back on tonight.

Also, besides my back still being messed up, I now have some very nice rugburn on the right side of my face. Looks like I got in a fight. I t actually happened when I went snowtubing for my girlfriends birthday before we hit the bars. I ran up to go down the hill, flopped onto the tube and bounced off and rode my face down an icy hill for about ten feet. It was actually pretty funny for my friends that saw it.

On an additional note good gaming last night although I gotta say I had to really put the pedal down to keep up with some people in the plasma pistol/battle rifle shoot out that we had going on. Needless to say my hand picked Militia dealt some devastating blows in CTF and slayer against two of the best snipes in the game. Of course we were missing the beloved "Boston Critic" JimmieMac and I believe Led but other than that the turnout was pretty amazing last night and even better, everyone that was on was playing in the custom game so their was no question that dedication is starting to run rampant around here, so bringeth forth the cannon fodder.... I mean bungie!

Yeah, that one was a little ashen to taste. ryan needed to show the world how he made his victory get snatched from the jaws of defeat on that game. :D Damn lag, blame it on the lag. :D

Blame it on me? I know, 19 kills isn't enough to keep up with Arikado, but they kept running away from me because you were in front or behind me all the time, when you weren't sniping anything that moved. :shock: I blame it on the blue team for them being picked on so much in that match. :rofl:

where is the "My Stats" button on bungie.net?

If you have your tag linked, you should see you Bungie.Net username at the top of the screen after you sign into your .Net Passport. Under that should be several tabs, and the last on the right is "My Stats." Occasionally it will say that there are no stats for you, but just refresh it until they show up.

where is the "My Stats" button on bungie.net?

If you have your tag linked, you should see you Bungie.Net username at the top of the screen after you sign into your .Net Passport. Under that should be several tabs, and the last on the right is "My Stats." Occasionally it will say that there are no stats for you, but just refresh it until they show up.

You make that sound like i have no idea why that the button isnt there. But i mean everything else is there but the "My Stats" button isnt. I mean it gives the amount of friends on and my groups and crap but my stats isnt there

Tomorrow isn't necessarily "practice." Staff players will be leading teams of 4 into matchmaking for some Team Slayer and Team Skirmish. Then, on Thursday, the most consistent players will join together for some clan matches.

Jimmie's a heck of a good player, an even better communicator and one guy who knows how to get the troops motivated, one way or the other. He's a guy I'm much happier is on my side than against it. And yes, he's damn funny to hear on the mic, no question there. :D

Accidents happen, I'm guilty of them myself, and pointing that out doesn't do anyone any good. Everyone tries to avoid them at all costs, and sometimes, with lag that shifts things around just enough, you end up doing things like sticking Ledhed with a plasma grenade on his left ear, for example. When he's on your team, that is.

And one last thing. Here's the "damn, we're tired of carrying you in games, Arikado" award for his work in this game, where he gets only 50 :shock: :shock: kills in this game-to-100 Team Slayer game:

JimmieMac is a Halo 2 icon. Everything Rock just said is true. Jimmie is on of the best players around here. Very deadly with a shoty and communicates very very well. Probably the funniest player on Halo 2. It should be a privaledge to play with him lol. JK Also betrayals are bound to happen during a game so you'll just have to learn how to deal with it or saty away from him lol. But glad to have you in the clan Girion, your a pretty decent player.

to keep your low rank on the extra gamertag, couldn't you just quit the game at the last minute when a victory for the lower ranked CAG is in the bag. rejoin after the victory, rinse and repeat.

It seems that everyone on defense would quit due to:
no chance of winning
losing means possible rank reduction

thankfully i don't encounter that many quitters, but i mostly stick with CAG and other honest gamers when i'm on...

I think there are degrees of losing. Quitting gives you the worst possible kind of loss while if you lose and do well I don't think it downgrades your rank as much

Play big team battle by yourself just once. As you well know, I had a old tag (Harmakhet)...but I leveled from 1-4 the night I got the game until 4am in the morning. So I played with all the hardcores, and never played the jackasses.

Now, when I reset my name to "NarnianCrusader" I when straight to Big Team Battle, and OMG....

It was like someone took madness and mayhem and put it in a bottle and shook it and sprayed it on the big team battle match I was playing.

MASS CARNAGE....people were Tking the second out the gate, and all the vehicles were blown up in less than 5 seconds. It was insane, everyone was screaming....and shooting they're own teammates and throwing stickys in the air and trying to catch it on themselves....

Shit was madness....So, play it once...you'll laugh. And you may never play Halo 2 again.

I saw it about an hour ago myself. I didn't believe it when someone else said that the entire process is laid out step-by-step. I'd send out a pissy email to them (as I'm sure hundreds have already done), but it seems like an empty gesture since the magazine itself is now defunct. All we can do now is wait for the inevitable: within a few months, all the cheaters and griefers will have had their fill and move on to the next exploitable online game, or they'll all be banned.

Anyway, my teams didn't fare too well last night, save for a few games. There were some bright spots, though. We played better Skirmish games than Team Slayer games (lost my level 16 in Slayer :( ). I had fun though. It's always a blast playing with fellow CAGs. Seems like this first week of new clan practice scheduling is going smoothly.

By the way, I've got work tonight, so I don't know when I'll be on. If I'm on the clanmatch team for tonight, someone can take my spot over. Hopefully though, I'll be on right as or around the time practice starts.

i had fun last night...on weekdays i usually only play a few games on clan nights...i play the most on weekends or when i have days off...

but yea, I didnt do that great last night when i played with tekken on team slayer...

I guess that is the only real hope for it all...once those clans get to level 50 they will quit playing because they've got no one else to bluescreen...which brings an idea to my head...and even though I patent this idea on the internet...someone should make a parody of the blueman group, Halo 2, and the stand-by...oh how many tears would insue!

Whats happens when 2 teams that use stand by have to play each other, it will be a race to see who does it first which if you think about it is slightly amusing :lol:

I think whoever the host is wins the standby battle. This frickin sucks. Its a video game. The whole point is to play the damn game. Not freeze it up and get an instant win.

I also think that the IQ points for both sides instantly drain down to zero.

Anyway, my teams didn't fare too well last night, save for a few games. There were some bright spots, though. We played better Skirmish games than Team Slayer games (lost my level 16 in Slayer :( ). I had fun though. It's always a blast playing with fellow CAGs. Seems like this first week of new clan practice scheduling is going smoothly.

By the way, I've got work tonight, so I don't know when I'll be on. If I'm on the clanmatch team for tonight, someone can take my spot over. Hopefully though, I'll be on right as or around the time practice starts.

He's good at rubbing you the wrong way, isn't he, when he does something like that? Sort of like when someone gets behind you in Slayer and calls out you name before he kills you? Might be something like that.

And yes, we did OK in a few games, great in a couple, passably bad in a couple, and had ourselved pwned in a few others. Though, as the night went on, we did get to be a tighter group in our teamwork. Which is the important thing. And the reason for the change in the practice regimen.

My 5MB DSL connection is still 5MB until the 10th, then it goes down to 3MB. :D

If ever you're on and would like to join some other CAGs for some Team Slayer, Team Skirmish, BTB, or any other non-Clan ranked games, by all means do so. We only ask that noone play Clan games without Staff permission; the rest of the stuff you're free to play whenever you'd like to. In fact, I encourage you to play with other CAGs on non-practice nights.

The more you play together, the more cohesive you become. The Clan game player list isn't so much a reflection of skill as it is a reflection of how much time those players have spent together. They know what to expect out of one another.

I'm sure the majority if you already knew that you could play other ranked games at will; I just wanted to put it down here so there would be no question about it for the newer players. I hope everyone has been having as much fun as I have lately. :wink:

LOL. It's because I stopped playing for 2 days to get some play time in MGS 3(which is a awesome game). I got too used to the PS2 controller. And now i've been playing RE 4 so now im used to the gamecube controller lol. Well time to get used to the XBOX controller again tonight.
