I saw the latest (I think it was) episode of JD where they review Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Rumble Roses, Spider Man 2 DS, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. They also had a Halo 2 vs. Half-Life 2 in versus. I think JD has gotten a bit fairer. They were pretty good in reviewing POP:WW and fairly compared Half-Life 2 and Halo 2. IMO they were completely wrong with Snake Eater. They gave it 2 8.5’s. The game is amazing and it deserved GOTY IMO. What do you think about Judgment Day?

Judgement Day is better then Xplay these days IMO. That doen't say much though. And the Weather channel is cool.

I agree with svsaith. Anyone see Tallarico's "review" of Paper Mario 2? He gave it a 5 but Shark Tale for PS2 gets a 7. This guy is one of the biggest joke's in the industry and cant compose anything but shit music for games such as Aladdin and Cool Spot.

It's a joke. Most of their complaints are about really stupid, nitpicky crap. I remember one of the "negatives" they listed for a game was that it didn't have fully orchestrated music. How the fuck is that a negative? It's not like it detracts from the game, sure it'd be nice to see it but it's not worth mentioning as a reallly bad thing. They tend to do things like this a lot too so I don't really bother to watch the show much at all. Victor Lucas is so-so, Tommy Tallarico shouldn't be allowed to review games at all though.

You know, I'd never even heard of this show until very recently, and the only reason I'd consider watching it is because apparently Evangeline Lilly from Lost used to be on it as some sort of eye candy (at least according to IMDB). I'm guessing her days and pay checks are much better now.

He has horrible biases, but I think he stays on through mob connections. he also did the music for Maximo: Army of Zin. I really think his music is asstastic, like his attitude. JD is a great show if you;re the kind of guy that buys every new EA game when it comes out.

I don't understand why everyone bashes this show. Sure maybe their reviews are not worth much since Vic gives everything too high of a score and Tommy rates everthing low unless it is the type of game he likes. The show does tell you the positives and negatives about each game though which I find very informative. The show is 10x better than X Play which seems to be just a big joke.

:rofl: Very nice. This almost never happens to me, but you actually made me laugh out loud with the ass hair line. In fact, I think I just woke my kids up.

I also like to watch the show for the clips, and even if I don't agree with their reviewing style, I always like to read or hear as many different reviews as possible on games I'm interested in, so for that it's not too bad.

Nothing to say really othen than Tommy Tallarico is a complete and total buffoon, but anyone who's watched the show already knows that. Dumb show overall, too, unless your focus is on graphics.

I saw the HL2 vs H2 part of the episode, and I totally agree with them that HL2 is better.
