I placed an order and was charged $12.49 for their super saver shipping?

Did I do something wrong?

Nah, I was just joking. I mean that is a lot of shipping IMO, but if it was a good deal then keep it.

Well it was a GPU cooler, DDr Ramsink,

2 case fans and some arctic silver compound....

So yeah it seems a bit high.

I just rechecked the order and shippings stayed at $4 until I added the Video Card fan that jumps it $8...

Oh well I thought it was always free shipping still worth it to me.. Just a rip off.

It sounds like it's one of those sites where $40 and under is 4$ and then say $40 - $100 is $12 shipping regardless of what the product is.

Newegg only has free shipping on the items that are marked free super saver. Everything else has a standard rate. I had to pay $4 shipping on a SATA cable. Screwy but that's how it works.

Try SVC.com - they have tons of shipping choices (although not free) at good rates. They also carry a wide assortment of items.

Shipping at Newegg is FREE ONLY IF IS CLEARLY SAYS SO.

It will say FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING on said product.

Anyway Newegg has high shipping rates so always look for the FREE shipping. They have a fan filter there for $2, but shipping is $4. Scary.

Yea, if you can avoid their non-free shipping products, newegg is the best. Especially if you don't have to pay them tax (like I do.) :twisted:
