Halo 1.5

Most of you who've played halo 1 and halo 2 notice the superiority of halo 1's gameplay, compared to halo 2's gameplay. The problem is, halo 1 isn't live compatible. Many gamers have come together to form a petition to create a halo 1.5 with live support. If everyone here signs this petition, this will be a success, so please, even if you do not have the game, or do not have an xbox, sign the petiton. Thanks

No offense but signing this generic petition will not move bungie to re-release a Halo 1.5. Bungie is hard pressed to release downloadable remakes of other maps from Halo or add online co-op multiplayer for that matter.

Why do you think Halo 1's gameplay is superior? IMO, the story was where Halo 2 went wrong; I think the gameplay (dual wielding, vehicle jacking, more balanced weaponry, more enemies, better/more challenging difficulty levels) redeemed the story (I don't care about the covenant or why they are attacking, and what's up with the venus flytrap flood-looking thing). The only parts where the gameplay falters, still IMO, are when there are bosses and when it ends. Not flaming, maybe you define gameplay including story, which is often done and in which case I still think Halo 1 is an average shooter with a nice story and Halo 2 is an above average shooter with a like it or not story. Anyway, I hope we get something better than both Halo 1 and 2 combined with the next installment. Thanks.

Yep, I agree, yet I think in comparison Halo 2 on live is better than a Halo 1.5. I just like the weaponry better, I did like the pistol back in the original, but I really prefer the new combo's, even the sword has it's place and a sword wielder better use strategy unless they want to be smacked down. Anyway your right, part of me wanted a good story, since I read two of the books, but IMO that’s the only part of Halo 1's gameplay that bested Halo 2's.

Besides the pistol, the weaponry in Halo was MUCH more balanced. If you don't believe me, pick up a plasma pistol and battle rifle combination. I dare you.

just for quick knowledge...xbox connect basically creates system links over the internet. So you can play others via your broadband. Understand halo one wasn't designed to use that much bandwith.. so your play will vary. Both halo's work very well for me.

I never understood this. Live is basically free. Sure, you gotta buy the headset if you want to talk, but otherwise just keep using the free 2 month trial cards that people give out for free, and come with games.

I'm new to XBL, so I didn't know this. You can use free trials to keep adding 2 months at a time?

yeah if you don't care to switch you gamertag every two months..(for every trial you will need to set up a new account) then you can keep using the trial cards. Im not sure but i think there is a specific amount of gamertags you can register per creditcard.

And also you should be able to pick up a turret and walk around with it and take it wherever you want! Also it'd be sweet if you could hold 30 grenades at once and launch em with both hands, even if you're holding guns! YEAH!

I think Halo 2 was far superior to 1. I wasn't concerned about the balance of the weapons (I actually liked the powerful pistol), but I think 1 got extremely repetitive in parts (Library, anyone), and I liked all the additions 2 made to the gameplay (vehicle jacking, dual-wielding, etc.). I was dissappointed in the ending of Halo 2, though.
