so yeah, since getting the bonus disc in the mail, and then MAT2, ive really rediscovered my whole love for the series.
right now im playing mk trilogy, and while it has an awesome lineup and the gameplay is solid, the load times and menu interface are awful on playstation!
how are the n64 and saturn versions of this game?
obviously the 64 one wont have the load times, but the controller dosent seem fitted to the game well. and hows the saturn version? usually saturn games were far better than psx games, does anyone have it?
thanks guys
remember dont use c's, use k's ^^

I had Trilogy for N64, and played the hell out of it. I didn't think the controller was too bad, but prefer a Playstation controller. I played the Arcade perfect version on the deception bonus disc, and it brought back a bunch of memories. I still want to pick up MAT2.

I had MKT for N64 also, it was definitely better than the PS version other than the controller. I never played the Saturn version and don't remember hearing if it was better than the other versions or not.

I remember mythologies, i aktually paid full price for that. It is pretty bad, think of it as sorta like that side skrollin tekken mode but for MK and you only get Subzero and its hard as fukk

SPOILERS!
Did you guys know that Noob Saibot is really the first Sub Zero? He got killed by scropion and that is why he's all balck and TOASTY! Also Noob Saibot is backward for Boon and Tobias. They're the guy who created MK. Shocking!

I never played the MK Trilogy game for Saturn, but I remember that that version came out like a year after the other versions and was one of the last games for Saturn.
Also the Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance game for GBA was extremely fun and is very underrated.

thats strange...man i really wanna find someone that has it so they can post impressions of it! i mean it could have been delays, and put out a year later...despite problems, or it could have been delayed a year and totally wreak of awesomeness!

I recently downloaded MKT for the PC, and it's fun. Try this with Nightwolf. D-F-HP (hatchet uppercut), Run, repeat. I do it against the CPU and I think it's an infinite combo but I'm not sure. Just might be a semi.
The Saturn/PC/PSX versions were identical in terms of Kontent (they all had Chameleon), as opposed to the N64 (which had Khameleon, and Classic Subby had extra moves).
Punq, the live action cutscenes (along with bloopers), are unlockables in MK:Deception (might have been DA, not sure).

what are the extra moves for classic subzero? because hes one of my fav characters, but if they gave him ice rain or ice clone, that would be cheak, especially clone, because he already has a close distance ice attack (freeze ground)
well ill be getting deception soon (hopefully, knock on wood) so i guess ill find out when i get it, but i was only gunna pay 5 bucks tops for mythologies anyways ^^
does anyone know if it was deception or was it da?

also, ive noticed 2 specific characters in tril are ALOT cheaper than any game should be; sektor and scorpian. i dont know why it is but they are super cheap and "mimmick" me! example: anytime i jump up left/right, sektor does his teleport uppercut!

did you guys hear that secret about the original mortal kombat? Ed boon was interviewed recently about the mortal kombat games and he said that there is still a secret in MK1 and no one has found out about and he said that he will take the secret to his grave.
have you guys ever heard about the secret sonya in MK1?(genesis version)
she has green glowing around her. In order to fight her you need to do that dullard code and turn on flags 2 and 3. set the plan base for three and the first map to the pit. Fight your way to the second endurance match which should be the pit stage.
here's the hard part. you have to get a double flawless victory and you have to make sure that sonya is the second person in the endurance round. Once you get the double flawless victory, instead of you fighting 2 reptiles the second reptile will be the secret sonya!!!!
She also does different moves!!
a shadow punch that changes into a harpoon that hits you and pulls you to her like scorpion and a ring attack that freezes you.
This may sound bogus to some but I assure you that it is real because I have the magazine right in front of me. S.W.A.T PRO May 1994 pg 11. I have never been able to do it because it is really hard to have a double flawless victory in endurance rounds.
Back to my point. this code is very complex and precise. that is why I believe that there are still some codes that will never be found out. I also heard that there is a secret playable player in MK1 that is a kick boxer. I have it in one of my magazines but I cant find it now.

Ok, here's the deal with the saturn version of MKT - it's the same as the psx version but it seems to load a lot quicker (my ps2 is dying so take this with a grain of salt...) other wise I've never noticed a difference.
A couple of neat MK bits for the thread:
Raiden will be playable in the new Unreal Championship for XBOX &
Shao Khan and Goro will be in the upcoming GC version of deception
Also I'm a HUGE MK fan (I own just about every MK game released in the US) so I'm glad to see an MK thread appear.
Also don't ever, EVER play MK special forces, EVER!

there is also the rumor about Nimbus Terrafaux being in the genesis version of the game. a reader of egm said that when you see reptile saying look to la luna enter the following code:right down right a c b b a right down right c b start he said that if it is done correctly, the game will reset and he will be the secret character that you can pick.
I also have this magazine that interviewed ed boon and he said that ermac is a secret character in MK1 arcade edition. the magazine was from 1994 before eramc was even in the games. One guy claimed that you have to have a double flawless victory in a stage where there is a bell and that you can only use punches. you have to make sure that the person is dead right under the bell.
Ed boon was also noted that there are at least three secret characters he did not say that there are only 3. In MK2
One goes to wonder if today's mortal kombat games have secret characters that no one knows about to this day.

No, Ermac is not in MK1. There was a problem in alot of MK1 arcade machines that caused them too freeze, and when that would happen the screen would go black, and it would say "ERMAC" followed by a long number. I would assume that this stands for ERror MAChine, basically saying that the system crashed.
This generated alot of fan speculation about Ermac, and trying to guess what it was. MK is a series that likes to play off of fan rumors, and Ermac in UMK3 is one of those times. They took a rumor and made an actual character from it.

I have the issue where there is the most wanted cheats article. its on page 96 of the March 94 issue of egm. I don't know if they do pranks in march. plus it was sent in by a reader and in the article they are very skeptic about the pics the reader sent.

I saw this to, when I was little. Me and my cousin tried it for weeks and nothing happen. Also in when of the egm mag they even said it was fake. It was a looking back at past egm timeline artcile that said it was an april fools joke and they also have a poll of the favorite egm aprils fool joke and it was on it too.

ok thanks for clearing that up. Egm is very dirty for keeping hoaxes secret for years. It would have been cool though. In the picks it sows a black guy in a black karate suit with a red belt. His finisher is a cartwheel that takes your head off.
