Cheap ass link (http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bfmid=37925289&siteid=40451529&bfpage=bf_adv anced&bfurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.softwareandstuff.com% 2FACC10706.html)

This is a bad-ass controller - but be warned that some forum members had problems with a deal this company had a month ago for the Xbox version:

I got the Xbox version myself & it works perfectly - it just wasn't "new" as advertised on their site.

It looks like that may be the case again cause there is a link to the manuals for it on the page.

I emailed them. Here is the response.

As far as I know the Logitech PS2 controllers are New. They are not in a box however, but I was just informed that they are new.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thank you,
JR Pacheco

He was just Informed? If he is running the company, why is somebody informing him? Shouldn't he know? Sounds like refurbished to me.

Does he not contradict himself? First it's "As far as I know they're new," and then as if someone bursts into the door with the info just as he's typing his response - "I was just informed they are new."

Iffy, then certain.

I do know my Xbox controller was not new - nor did it come with batteries or instructions. It did come with a few game-worn scuffs, though. >cough< refurbished >cough<

But, I was so happy with the performance of the Xbox controller, I went out and paid full price ($60) for a new PS2 one - so it's almost worth the risk.

God, some people read into things way too much. He was just informed by someone, but that still does not mean he knows 100% for sure himself. He didnt watch Logitech seal them I am willing to bet, so since they have no packaging, that leaves a bit of doubt, hence why he is saying 'As far as I know'

hmm... this is really tempting. But I don't know. I mean, the XBox controllers I ordered work fine, although one of them is missing the black rubber grip on the right stick .... They are all scratched up, and serial # marked out.... I think I'll pass this time, I'd rather pay full price and KNOW what I'm getting. :x

Logitech has already announced plans to release new models of their PS2 and Xbox wireless controllers. The PS2 will even see a price drop down to $39.99 (can't recall the Xbox price, $49.99 or $59.99, one or the other). On top of that the new versions look to have better ergonomic design than these bricks.

Plus, the old ones will probably plummet in price once the new ones are out, so in a few months you'll probably be able to get these for a steal.

The new PS2 one is supposed to ship to retailers in early April.

Dammit, Drek. Now you've gone and put a damper on my chance for an impulse buy. I had my credit card out and the controller in my cart already, man! What are you doin?!? Bailiff, beat this man.

What are the improvements going to be for the new ones compared to the old ones?
