Oh man did I get lucky today. I went down to my Salvation Army store for the first time today. I was looking for old games (obviously), but instead browsed the golf clubs. Most of them were old drivers that are made from real wood, but I spotted a sweet 9.5 loft Nike driver. And next to that? An Adams tight lies 5 wood. Both $2.99. So for $6 I have about $100 worth of golf equipment.

The driver looks like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3669387108&category=28 075

$2.99?!?!?!?!? Those clubs are just ok compared to the better brands, but for $2.99?!??!?! I would have paid so much more for them considering I have a crappy driver that I'm using right now.

I asked a used sports store what this would bring, and I stand to make $50 selling it to them.

I would keep it (kinda thinking about it), but I found when I moved to a steel shafted driver I hit the ball much straighter. Remember, it's the player, not the club. Although if you have really crappy clubs it can hurt you.

True, it's the player and not the clubs. When I got into golf, I picked up set of titleist irons off a friend, but I never picked up a good driver. And I haven't been playing much lately, so I never got around to getting a new driver.

it was in a box with a turbo graphix for $5.00 ^^

however the neo geo had no controllers and the tg16 had nothing, so i traded the neo geo and sold the tg16

Off topic, but punqsux, you really got the shaft as a pirate. One eye torn out and one that doesn't work without the assitance of glasses. Somehow I imagine you have a peg for one leg, one peg arm, AND a hook.

Really? That's funny, I'm using Titleist irons too. I got mine at an estate sale for $45. Sold set of irons, I'll likely never need to buy any other. I did lose my PW on a green last year (so damn stupid), so I need a good wedge.
