I went to BB and got Taiko Drum Master for $44.99 NEW ($4.99 for me because I had a gift card).
Let me explain, I went to BB to price match Taiko Drum Master since CC had it for $49.99. I went to BB and got it price matched for $49.99 and I used one of the GGC's for an extra $5 because I was going to put a penny on it and use it but the cashier just gave me the coupon instead. So at this point anyone out there should be able to get Taiko Drum Master for $44.99 + tax at BB the same way I did. However, I also had a $40 gift card left over from the holidays so I used that as well and that's how I got Taiko Drum Master for $4.99 + tax.
The cashier also told me that if I went to CC first and got it there and then came back to BB and showed her the receipt then she could've taken 10% off the difference in price as well, which would be $1 more off ($10 x 10% = $1), so in theory I could've goten it for $3.99, but I didn't want to go back and forth between BB and CC.
I picked up 5 more GGC's for $0.05 and then I was off to TRU!
At TRU I found Soul Calibur II (PS2) for $3.48! After tax it was $3.66 up here in Maine. It was a Non-GH version (if that matters) and they had 3 left in stock when I left my TRU in So. Portland. This was a BRAND NEW copy and they were also selling the Guides for ceap too. Not sure what the prices of the guides were (they had the regular and harbound editions), but you guys can check that out if you want to.

I got Taiko Drum Master last month at BB when it was on sale for $49.99 ($44.99 with my GGC). I'm glad I did, because they haven't carried it since. If your BB still has one, now's the time to act, before they're all gone for good.
is taiko rare? i kinda wanted to try it out but passed on it for donkey konga at the time. ive been meaning to get it though

I don't think Taiko is rare, not yet anyways. I've seen it at nearly every game store I've went to, including CC and BB.

taiko isnt rare at all. Not yet anyways.
the other option is that circuit city will accept competitors coupons(including the GGC) so you can just take it to CC and get it for $45 at CC.

I went to BB and CC to see if they'd price match TRU and they both did. I got a copy of Soul Calibur II for $1.50 + tax (unfortunately they only had one left in stock so I picked that one up). I went to CC next and they gave it to me for $1.83 each (they only let me have 3 copies). Then, I went to Wal-Mart (since CC is right next to Wal-Mart) and to my surprise, Wal-Mart DID NOT price match the game for me. They wouldn't even give me the TRU price of $3.48! I'll prolly go back to CC tomorrow and pick up 3 more copies.

SCII was like $8.98 at my TRU. I plan on going out to another TRU tonight.

true cheapassgamer, prob spend more money on gas and car wear than the amount saved trying to get the game cheaper elsewhere.

:? You used a GC. You didn't get it for that price. Someone payed them. You got $5 off of Taiko Drum Master.

Well, at least he explained what he meant up front, but I agree with you. Some people post that they got things really cheap and then it turns out that they either used a gift card, or got the item as a gift. If your grandparents give you an Xbox, you don't get to brag "OMG, OMG, I just got an amazing deal on an Xbox, I got it for $0!!!!!" You got an Xbox, it didn't cost you money, but that was not a "deal", it was a gift. The $40 was not taken off Taiko as part of the deal, it was just an alternate form of payment -- the game still cost $44.99 + tax And, as long as we are splitting hairs, 3Q, you paid $4.99 + tax on $44.99, not $4.99 + tax.

Well, I'm not actually looking for that game. Just pointing that price out, and that I was going to a TRU tonight. I don't drive anyways. ><
But yeah, I'm cheapass. I'll buy my sports games full price, because I love those so much. Play them all day. But for other games, I buy them at $20 and less. Not everything, but most. I'd the say only non-sports games I have bought at full price would be the GTA's and Time Crisis 3.

I would love to get the PS2 version, but I am not going to drive out there. Too far for a game I have on the GCN

Mine still has SC II for $10.98.... :(. Thankfully I was able to get Xenosaga for only $5.98, even though i've seen cheaper at other TRUs reported on CAG

Hey man, what TRU are you talking about? My TRU has the same games for the same prices. I picked up Xenosaga at that price, but didn't pick up SCII as I already had it. I'm in Rockford, IL BTW.

If I could get any kind of confirmation on these kind of prices at the closest TRU to me, then I'd make a little road trip for the day to get some cheapass games. Maybe the roommate would like to go to so it's not just me rocking out in the car on the hour or so drive up there.

The deal for Taiko that I was referring too was that you could get it at BB for $44.99 if you wanted, which is the cheapest I've seen it for.
The reason why I'm getting so many SCII's for the cheap prices is because I can sell them to people on my college campus for about $10 a pop (since that's cheaper then the store anyhow, if they don't know about TRU). So I can get $40 for 4 games that I paid $7 or so dollars for total.
I checked out some other games at my TRU and the prices were pretty decent:
PS2:
Siren $5.48 (This goes for $39.99 NEW at my BB, but my TRU is OOS)
Devil May Cry $7.98
XIII $4.48
Turok: Evolution $4.48
Hitman 2 $5.98
Red Faction $6.48
Xenosaga $8.98
Resident Evil: CVX $5.48
Parappatherappa 2 $9.98
Arc the Lad $4.48
GBA:
Wing Commander: Prophacy $4.98
Sword of Mana $7.98
The PS2 Intec 3D Surround Sound System speakers were also marked as $79.99 (green tagged) to make the price $24 after the 70% off.
