The only explanation for House of the Dead 3 suddenly coming back in stock at $19.99 from being a rare game that was going from $35-50 is that it was reprinted, probably due to the movie's DVD release. I wouldn't worry about stock running out so soon. Also if it's any consolation, a friend who bought the game when it was first released only played with the controller (who usually used light guns) and said it was surprisingly good, better than HoTD 2 for the DC's controller usage, and really wasn't regretting not having a light gun. I honestly can't figure out why Mad Catz didn't make thier lightgun a shotgun like the game seeing how it is the ONLY lightgun game on the console after several years as far as I know. Instead you have a choice of either butt ugly neon green submachine gun or sniper rifle controllers or a more tolerable import light gun pistol. I mean come on, if we can have a peripheral that simulates the layout of TRAIN CONTROLS we can have a shotgun. And not a pepto bismol pink or baby boy blue one either.

Well of course they can't make the gun too realistic or some kids will get shot playing guns in their back yard... it's happened, sadly. That's why all toy guns these days look funky, or at least all have that bright red or orange barrel ring... if I was a criminal I'd paint the end of my gun that same color and make the cops hesitate... but I'm not, so that was all pointless... and look now I'm rambling...
HOTD 3... I'll have to check my local store.

There was a new printing of this game I believe. I was at Fry's Electronics and they were unpacking about 30 or more of them out of a box. It should be easy to find this at some other places for $20 because of the restock, atleast i know there is a huge pile at Fry's.

I was going to pickup skies of arcadia legends for gamecube today (another cheapassgamer find) for $25, but i think i'll more fun with HOTD.

my only question is which light gun is the best one to use with this game? If you have a link to one please post it for me.

The best light gun for this game is the Silent Scope Light Rifle. Judging by earlier posts, it looks like some people obviously don't know that the Light Rifle dissassembles into a shotgun for HOTD3. It's so much better than playing with the Mad Catz Blasters.
