View Full Version : Strange Mortal Kombat II (SNES) question
So I'm selling a copy of MK II on eBay and I got this question from a potential bidder:
"does MK2 ( mortal kombat 2) shows how mortal kombat 2 come to be after the title screen goes away?"
Does anyone know what this might be talking about? Were there two versions of MKII or something? I'm planning on asking the guy for a clearer explanation of what I should look for after the title screen, but thought someone here might know exactly what he's talking about.
I did a quick google search on mortal kombat II title screen but didn't see anything that looks likely.

I have MKII (somewhere) and I played the crap out of it back in college and I have no idea what he is talking about either... so um yeah, I'm no help...

Possibly a difference between the Trilogy and cart version. I think he wants to know does the story at the begining show how MKII came about after MKI ended.

I would reply asking him to state the question in proper english before you can provide further assistance.

I agree with zion. Probably talking about the attract mode's content. I haven't heard about there being different versions, though.
Well if there's only one version of MKII I guess this guy is just asking what the opening movie is about or something? Weird.

Far as I know there's only one, which I have. At least Nintendo let the blood flow in this one, not green gunk.

Yeah, I don't know what he means. And yeah like the others said there is only one version.
Well if I get bored I'll pop it in and send the guy an e-mail describing the opening movie. Although I imagine this guy would be fairly difficult to communicate with if there happened to be a problem.

There are two version of Mortal Kombat II for the SNES. The initial shipment had the tendency to lock up during certain moves. The newer version corrected this problem.
If I'm not mistaken the difference is, in the newer cart there is a logo that is displayed with a glowing effect that goes from left to right and has the audio shift from the left channel to the right. Also if you press both shoulder buttons while this logo is displayed Shao Kahn and Kintaro jump down and exchange growls and stuff. The older cart does not have either.
Hope this helps.
It sold, so I don't have it any longer. But thanks for the info.
