Just saw this at EB.. I think this might be SOE2.. why do I say that?.. the combination of Rockstar and "100,000 gang members" makes it kinda obvious.. Anyone got any information? I've heard they were supposed to include a ton of better things in this that were promised in the first, such as a group of people that'll actually work together and flip cars and other things.. anyone have any more information and/or pictures? I don't think much information has been released on it..

Well there have been bits and peices of rockstar making a movie of the warriors, but I believe it has been delayed time and time again. Let's not give up hope just yet.

Yes its worth it, i dont think its on DVD yet though. But i definetly recommend it. Its got tbird from the crow in it.

The movie has a "so bad it's good" quality to it.

It will annoy your friends; most people after seeing it for the first time, are subject to repeating two often-used quotes to the point of nausea.

"Can you diig it? CAAANNN YYOOOUUUU DIG IT?"

or, if that's not your cup of (booker) tea,

"warrrriorrrrerrrs...come out and playyyyaaayyy"

I wonder which of the gangs will be in the film. Obviously the Warriors will be, but hopefully they'll throw in the Baseball Furies, the Turnbull ACs, the Rogues, the Lizzies, and every other gang the Warriors have to fight in the film. They'd damn better have the Riffs too.

this is a cool movie

if you dont know what its about... well its about the warriors a gang trying to get back to their on turf but on the way to their turf they have to fight rival gangs or sometimes run from them

Rockstar games is coming out with a game based on the 1979 movie, The Warriors.
I watched the movie last night (rented from blockbuster online (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23903)) and I was pretty impressed with how bad the movie is. It has some of the worst dialog and acting I've ever seen.

Plus, the outfits the gangs wear are just ridiculous.

The video game is supposed to be a beat-em-up, like Streets of Rage. The movie was so bad, I can't see the game being anything but an improvement.

I would think that most people agree with the D, which is why it is a cult classic. Although it was hard to relate to (partially because it was shot in 1979 and partially because it is pretty ridiculous), I really liked the premise and the characters (although the acting was pretty bad at times and the story was lacking). Its actually a perfect movie to be remade into a game. I heard the game is going to cover the events leading up to the movie, which would be helpful (the film has a lot of unanswered questions). That being said I really liked the film. Gangs running neighborhoods of New York in ridiculous costumes is fun to watch.
