Hi

Does anyone know if the headset included with SOCOM II is the official Sony one? If not, which is the better headset? How about the Logitech one? Thanks

I have the Logitech headset and it works fine. There have been a few times when I have to repeat commands but that doesn't happen very often. I haven't used the one that's packaged w/SOCOM.

the logitech is the best one. It has a mute and volume control on the headset which is grteat. I dont know which one they include with SOCOM II but the one included with socom I suxs. I had it and it broke in labout a week. I suggest the logitech. I have this logitech one and im not using it anymore if you want it. Let me know.

I didnt think you could buy socom2 with a headset, but the one that comes with socom1 is a logitech one that has the games logo on it and it is cheap but i have been using it for about 2 yrs now without a problem so go figure

The original packaged one is made my Logitech, and, yes, it's an official headset (I mean both Logitechs are licensed by Sony along with the Sony model). It's the most basic and flimsy, but I've had mine since SOCOM came out, and have had no problems with it. No mute, or volume control built-in, though. The mute button is sort of a mixed blessing, anyways. It's especially unnecessary for SOCOM.
