Slim PS2 to come in silver?

They’ve done plenty of special limited-editions of the original PlayStation 2 already, but is Sony getting ready to bust out a silvery version of the new, slimmed-down PS2? There isn’t much to go on other than a product listing that has turned up on the site of a British retailer (which does mean this could be a UK-only release), but you’d think Argos would know better than to mess with us.

Hasn't a PS2 in any color other than black traditionally retailed for list price plus $99 in the US? That means this little joker will actually retail for around the same $250 price tag as one of defender's Nintendo DS systems.

I would be really pissed if this were to come out here. I just got a black one, and am getting a PSP in March. Sony is killing me with their new hardware.... Though most new tech seems to call to me....IPOD Shuffle hmmm....

I hate silver electronics. Everything I have is black or hidden. When the lights are off I want to seem nothing. Black TV edges from the glow are bad enough. Seamless experience; total immersion.

They sold out. I assume during the great "PS2 Holiday Shortage '04". Or by collector's when they released the PStwo.
