View Full Version : What should be next off the pile?

Like a lot of CAGers, I've gotten to the point where I have more games than time to play them. My pile of "waiting to be played" games has started getting out of hand (this according to my wife), so I'm taking a little survey of what I should play next from the pile. I like to have 3 different games going at a time, to have a little variety. Right now I'm playing GTA:SA, Ratchet & Clank: GC, and Katamari Damacy. Which 3 games from the following list (all PS2 versions) should I go with next? By the way, I know some of the games on the list are NOT A+ titles. Assume I already know that, and got them for next to nothing.

Jak II
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
Primal
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Spyhunter 2
Devil May Cry 2
Viewtiful Joe
Hot Shots Golf Fore!
007: Everything or Nothing
Chaos Legion
R-Type Final
Contra: Shattered Soldier
ATV Offroad Fury 2
Beyond Good & Evil
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Onimusha 3: Demon Siege
Jet X2O
MDK 2
Haven: Call of the King
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
X-Men Legends
Splinter Cell
Legacy of Kain: Defiance
The Mark of Kri

If enough people throw in their three picks, I'll go with whatever gets the most votes. Thanks.

If I had to pick three, Beyond Good and Evil, X-Men Legends, and 007 Everything or Nothing.

Chaos Legion is a very underrated game, so I'd definitely recommend it. The Mark of Kri sequel is coming out in a couple of months, so go ahead & play that to see if you'll be interested (and odds are, you will ;) ). Then I'd say Hot Shots Golf Fore! to give you a break from all that killin'. :P

Beyond Good and Evil. I'm playing it right now and I'm near the end. A big plus for me is not only is it a good game, it's short so it helps clear that backlog of games. :)

Beyond good and evil, SLy 2, and Omnimush 3

It depends on if you trade/sell games once you are done with them, or keep them. If you get rid of them, then play the more recent games first (Sly 2, X-Men Legends, maybe Fore!) and unload them while they are still worth something. If not, play BG&E, since it is both good and short.

If I had to pick three, Beyond Good and Evil, X-Men Legends, and 007 Everything or Nothing.

I second this list (in the same order even). Beyond Good & Evil is just a beautiful game.

X-Men Legends is fun, especially multiplayer.

I'm just getting into 007: EoN now myself but I like it.

BG&E gets a lot of press for being a very good game that wan't played by many. Perhaps you'd care to try your hand at this poor lost soul.

That's an excellent point. I always tell myself I should get rid of games once I'm done with them, but I can almost never bring myself to actually do it. I keep EVERYTHING.

It's interesting to me that BG&E has gotten so many votes, since that's the one that I've been leaning toward most anyway. Still, I think in another day or two I'll come back, count the votes and go with whatever gets named the most. Thanks again to everyone voicing an opinion.

Two very good titles with a good title thrown in. I'll let you decide which two are very good. Have fun!

Another for BG&E; it's a great game with a good story, and it's short enough to help keep you moving through your backlog (a problem by which many CAG's find themselves beset).

I find that I tend to whip through platformers faster than anything else, which leads me to recommend Sly 2 and Jak 2, but your gaming habits may be different.

Well, the 2 that jumped out at me are Mark of Kri and R-Type Final. I'm a sucker for 2D shooters though, I paid full price ($30) for it, and loved every second of it.

Maybe BG&E for the third. Unlike most people here, I thought it was alright, but I can see why it was passed over on the shelfs.

I would says it's a tie between Jak II, Onimusha 3, and Mark of Kri. I've enjoyed all three games all so much.

BUMP

At this point it looks like BG&E is the runaway top choice with (by my count) 16 votes. X-Men Legends has the next most, with 7. Mark of Kri and Hot Shots Fore are tied for 3rd with 5. I'm kind of surprised that out of the 24 games I listed, 18 of them have gotten at least one vote (although I assume CrashSpyro123 was just being funny with the Spyhunter 2 vote) More variety than I expected, which is cool.

I'll probably bump this a few more times over the next day or so, just to try and get as many votes as I can, then I'll let it die. Thanks again for any and all opinions.

Id keep EorN as opposed to SC. Now EorN vs. SC PT....much harder choice. View Joe over Xmen (but I wasnt too thrilled by it)
