I just picked up a Dreamcast, mostly for Shemue, but anyways I've heard good things about Crazy Taxi as well. Has anyone played the newer versions for PS2 or GCN, are they exact ports of the original, or better or worse in any way. Thanks.

The original DC and later GCN/PS2 ports are all about the same as far as I know. You're probably best off picking up the version you find the cheapest as a result.

They're basically all the same. I personally like the Dreamcast version, but mainly because of controls and that I got used to them that way.

Yeah less than 5 bucks after discounts, probably just gonna get that one. The one thing that makes me want the PS2 or GCN verision is getting the book and case.

Yeah, DC version is one of the best games on the DC. My personal favorite out of all of the games.

Get the Dreamcast version. It's the system it was made for (arcade hardware perfect) and it has the original music by The Offspring.
I'm not a huge Offspring fan personally, but I do feel it fits the game perfectly and is part of the original creation. When they made the ports to PS2, GC, and PC, the rights were lost and some other music was used instead.
I know this is out of the question, but you dont really need any other version of CT if you get the Xbox Crazy Taxi 3. It has all the cities from previous versions plus a whole new one. Its sad that such a great game went unappreciated :(
