I have to have two DC's because some games work in one and some in the other. Street Fighter Alpha 3 will work in one and not in the other. MOW is really loud in one and quiet in the other. I just traded for Capcom vs. SNK and SFIII:Third Strike and they only work in one of my DC's?
Anyone else have this experience

I had that problem with Alpha 3. I tried two copies I got from EB and niether worked.
Finally I just went out and spent the 14 dollars for a used one from Gamestop. I am probably gonna order another from EB within the next week or two. I love the DC and figure I better get them before they start to become hard to find

I have 2, but not because of game problems. I have one hooked up to a TV and another with a VGA box.

is a VGA box worth it? Will most Capcom or SNK games play on it?

All of them will. But it will be ugly,
Are you using a model 1 or 2. Try looking for a 0 model. They have the best gd-rom.

thats what I figured as the resolution would bring out the flaws more.

punqsux, I have 3 copies of chu chu rocket, I think 1 or 2 of them are sealed and the other works as well. Let me know if you wanna do some cheap swapping.

Hrm, I've never had any trouble w/ my launch DC. I have around 50 games for it, and they all run great.
BTW, the VGA box is definitely worth it - or at least, it was worth the $15 or so I paid for it. True, some games may look worse with it, but quite a few look a LOT better - just have it so you can swap back & forth with it. ;)

Curious , which two games could make you still keep the system around?

I would like to have a 2nd one for backup.. If i can find one like the 14.99 ones I would happily pick it up.
Btw I don't know the price of chu chu rocket, but my local TRU has several of them I can pick one up punq if you want.

Ah good ol Shenmue, reminds me I need to beat that. Got all the way to the third disc and just quit. But then it was my second time getting to the third disc after my first game got erased. Fun game.

I only have one dreamcast. I bought it from EB Games for $20 and it plays everything.

I have 3, one on the main TV that is a launch one, nad has no problems, one for the upstairs TV, and one still sealed in the box in case one of the others dies.
