Technical difficulties with my nes and need help!!!

I recently replaced the 72 pin connector on my cheap ass nintendo and it still isnt working, it only works when i press the game down as far as it will go but then i have to keep it pressed down and play my games with one hand, what can I do to fix this problem? is it the springs?

When you press the game all the way down slide another game on top of it to wedge it in place.

When you put the cart tray back into position was it laying flush on the circuit board or was the front of it hovering above the board? There's a notch on the front underside of the tray that slides underneath the board and if you didn't reposition it correctly that notch is actually sitting on top of the board instead and is most likely the cause of the problem.
