I just picked up Ico, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Legend of Legia for $20 at Hollywood. (They have a 2 for 1 going on right now.) The two Psone games have these hardcore disc labels on them. Is there anyway to get those off without killing the game?

Peel gently is about your only option(usually a %50 chance you'll ruin the game), products like goo b gone and other adhesive removers tend to mess up the ink on the disk and also messes up the disc

Goo Gone is the way to go. It is a miracle product. I've used it on probably 3-5 PS1 games and all of them still play perfectly. Just be careful.

Are you talking about the adhesive stickers or those funky stickers that some rental companies put on their disks? I don't know how to get the latter removed but the first one is simply ppeeling off the sticker and then goo goning it.

I've had moderate success removing Hollywood Video stickers with a hairdryer. Just be very patient and use extreme caution. I don't know if Goo Gone is safe for the disc, but a little might be worth a try.
Your best bet would be if you could get some worthless games with the labels for cheap that you can experiment on.

YOU MUST PEEL SLOWLY!!!!
If you see the ink begin to lift or break up, you've probably hosed it.
Slow is the key. Don't even try to hurry.

Those stickers are pretty rough. I had a friend who used to work there,. He took a bunch of games when he left, this is during the dreamcast days. And like some of the others stated earlier, your have a high chance to ruin the disc.
Your best bet, is to just leave it alone.
Maybe when Alpha collection comes out, you can try alpha 3, which would give you a good excuse to by the collection if it messes up ;)
Dont put those games into your PS2 with those labels on. It can mess up your whole system because it throws off the balance of the lens. Be careful :!:
