Hi. I need a new memory card, and I was thinking of getting the Nintendo 1019 card, but I am worried because the card is so large. So, have any of you heard of any problems with the card? Is it reliable? Is it safe to put my saves on this card? Thanks.

Why would it not be safe? It's made by nintendo. You can get it on ebay for about $20 shipped.

I know it had some issues with certain games when it launched. I don't know if it was fixed or how extensive it was. I never bought because I didn't need the space.

I have one and it's great. I can fit all my saves on it, and it's Nintendo-made so you know it's not going to erase your data like some crappy third-party product. Go for it if you need the space or are going to need the space, great deal.

You should buy it. It is the best memory card for the Cube...

I think it's great, and first party memory cards rarely, if ever, go corrupt in all of my experience. Only problem I have is that PSO Episode I + II doesn't recognize it for whatever reason. Other than that just get one ASAP.

Get two, use one for everyday and the other for backups.

Or get one of those USB transfer things to transfer data to a computer.

Anyway, the 1019 is the best for Gamecube easily.

There's only one or two games that it doesn't work with (a couple of Sega games, oddly enough) and even then, it's only because the programmers didn't anticipate a card with that much free space. Get it, you won't regret it.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm probably going to get the 1019. I hope I can find it for less than 29.99 at one of my local stores.

Some stores had them on sale for $24-25 a little while ago, off-hand Best Buy has them for $25.50 this week. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1077630611480&skuId=6496464&product CategoryId=cat08147&type=product

$25? Hm... If it's possible to use this with the GGC, anybody could buy the 1019 memory card for a little over 20 bucks! OP, in case you're still looking for this card, you should look into this deal.

A good deal if you ask me. Unless anybody else has seen better..?

I know from experience that Phantasy Star Online Episode I + II does not work with the 1019. Can't comment on the Plus version or Episode III. Hopefully someone with a larger Cube collection can produce some type of list.

It may seem large from a game console perspective but it's a tiny card compared to the 512 MB and 1 GB cards now common in digital cameras and PDAs.

As long as it says Nintendo on it, Get it. You can't never have to much memory.
