Not sure whether this has been posted before, but my local TRU (Fort Wayne, IN) has Namco's R:Racing for GameCube at under $5 (w/70 percent green tag sale). Found this not in the usual clearance bin, but on a separate end cap with other $14.99 and $19.99 regular games. Not the greatest game, but a steal at under $5. :D

Cool. If I find a copy with Pac Man vs. in it (uncommon nowadays, but still possible) I'd definitely pick it up.

I hate not living by a TRU. :(

my local TRU has 'em in stock but they don't have the green sticker on them.

Is there any reason to get this if you have the PS2 version?

It doesn't matter, the game at my local TRU didn't have any green tags on them either but rang up at $4.48 anyway.

re-post from the TRU clearance thread.

The difference between this and the PS2 version is the inclusion with the Pac-Man connectivity game. That in and of itself makes this worthwhile.

I thought all the GC ones came with the Pacman vs. disc.

Damn it! I just saw this yesterday and was going to pick it up for $15, but though I'd wait till a further price drop. I should of asked the TRU employee to scan it.

I found this racing game (I made the original posting here) in a stand-alone display, separate from the usual green-sticker sale bin and TRU's regular shelved games. I noticed a green $14.99 tag on a couple of them, so I followed a hunch they might indeed ring up lower than the $14.99 price splastered all over the display bin. The clerk even cracked when I asked her whether these were part of the 75% off sale that "That's not on sale" but I had her scan it anyway, and, viola! , $4.48. I'm betting there may indeed by a couple of other titles on that display that conceivably may ring at $4.48 (if it wasn't such a hassle to get things scanned). The only clue was a green $14.99 tag. And, yes, PacMan's included.

This game is definitely worth it. I got mine at Best Buy when it was $30. Used the GGC to get it cheaper. GC's controller fits the game perfect. L and R for brake/gas, plus you can see how much gas/braking you're doing with the meters. And the pressure meter is cool. I completed the game 100%, pretty tough to do. When this game came out originally, at my TRU I'd never seen the GC version. I don't think they ever got it in either. Recently I saw several copies of the PS2 version though.

The Pac-Man Vs. game is cool too, but having to get out all the GBA stuff just to play it is a bit annoying. These days I play neither. But R:Racing Evolution was fun while it lasted.

the titles on that display that were green tagged were the GC R-Racing, the PS2 R-Racing, and XB Kung Fu Chaos.

The PS2 R-Racing and Kung Fu are no longer green tagged at any tru there were deleted. GC R-Racing is wherever you can find it. My store is clean.

Also, there were a ton of PS2 versions & the clerk-dude said they too were $4.48.
