I know that both can be had for relatively cheap, but I was wondering if it is worth the effort. I'd like to hear your thoughts. I've read the reviews but reviews of puzzle games are strange and lacking 'cause the games are mostly reiterations....so I was thinking of getting the first Bomberman GCN title....whaddya think?

I have Bomberman Jetters and I have never played the story lines. The battle mode is a great way to kill time. Its a fun game for multiplayer, my family really enjoys it. Also I picked it up for cheap at BB for $4.99 a while back (doubt you can still get it at that price). It was well worth it at that price.
I (my daughter thinks this one is cooler, better graphics, sound, and characters) still prefer the SNES version of Bomberman, but Jetters is fun and a good graphical improvement. I never had any of the N64 versions so I have can't give you any advice there.

I haven't played too many of the newer ones, but I could never get in to the story mode of any of the bomberman games. If you have a lot of friends that will play, there aren't many better multiplayer games.

hey i recently got bomberman generations, and its pretty good for the price. the story mode is kinda wierd but its fun for being so cheap. within the multiplayer one of things that i was disappointed in was the lack of being able to choose your character. i heard that in bomberman jetters there are like 16 different characters to choose in multiplayer. so if that matters go with jetters. hope that helps

I bought Generations as well (but at launch). The story mode is sort of weak and not worth playing through. Also, the battle mode brings nothing new into play. However, since you never played Bomberman, I could easily recommend either game. Any Bomberman game is better than no Bomberman. If you can, check out Saturn Bomberman (for Sega Saturn) and Super Bomberman 5 (for SNES), those are the best in the series.

sorry if I wasn't clear, but I love the Bomberman series on the Snes. I was just wondering if the GCN titles were any good or worth the effort. I have Generations and was thinking of opening it up. I guess that I'll wait until Im really bored though.

I had Bomberman Generations for the longest time, the multiplayer modes were excellent. The only reason I got rid of it was because it was purchased used in very poor shape and I was able to trade it in towards one of those rediculous Game Rush deals. If I could find a new/mint copy for less than $20 I'd certainly get it again. Well worth it.

bomberman 64 was fun from what I recall... are the newer ones at all similar to that?
