I'm looking for a cheap ass MP3 player. The only storage limitation I have is around the range of 1GB. I haven't seen anything that interests me too much, but I'm sure there's something out there.

walmart has the RCA lyra 64 mb for 29$ and it has a sd/mmc slot for expanding the memory

Looks like a nice player, but it kinda sucks in terms of battery life.

if you can spend about $200 you should get the rio karma. 20 gigs and it doesn't have blank gaps between tracks if you're listening to continuous mixes or live recordings. just a thought.

yes in store only and 8 hrs off 1 AAA isnt too badActually, you're right. That isn't as bad as I thought after I looked around again. Most of the players I looked at in the past used a AA and had longer battery life, so I mixed it up with those.
