oh man!
i remember this, from the 2003 san diego comic con. when i saw this, i first thought it was some preview for a movie, but, yeah it was just a fan film. probably the best one that year for the con.

That was actually better than Batman and Robin. But I wonder how much it would cost to make something like that. There's a short film festival at my college and it be great if I could put together something of that quality for the festival.

I saw that on www.theforce.net. Verycool. If you're into star wars stuff, there's a pretty well made fan movie here: www.crewoftwo.com. Two sith lords duking it out. They did a pretty good job of capturing the campiness of Star Wars, and the sound effects are pretty spot on. The lightsaber deuling is good as well.

??? The Sith film..... it's posted in the first post, or are you refering to another one?
Anyway, WOW! Watching Duality really makes me wonder how Lucas can suck it up so bad when joe ametures can meke such a great little flick. I repeat myself, but Georgie boy shouldn't direct his own films.

Where was Robocop?
You can't have Alien vs Predator vs Batman without Robocop, and/or possibly Optimus Prime.

its out there, trust me. im just too lazy to look for it. there was a whole stroy arc on pvp about this. it was like storm trooper vs aliens vs preadators vs indiana jones vs batman vs everyone else. it looked like a capcom fighter.

yeah that 6 minutes of action was better then Batman & Robin. It's amazing how some fans can make such movie perfect costumes. Very impressive.
I wonder how much it cost to make, Also am I the only one who remembers the batman vs Preditor comic mini series ?

Here cometh the comic book Dork...
Batman Dead end was actually a $30,000 production by Sandy Collora (um, thats a dude). He worked in production on some films and design on others, and he wanted to show off his directing skills in what ends up being a $30,000 buisness card (kinda reminds me of south park...)
EDIT - BTW, this will never be on tv, the big screen or dvd LEGALLY. this was a personnal production using various copyrights, so it was legal to make until he makes a profit from it.

$30,000 for 6 minutes of action ? Good lord that's alot of money. I would have guesses 10K at most.

he had to pay for everything from cameras, costumes (exact replicas), cast and crew. It was a full but small production.
Also the Joker was played by Andrew Koenig (link) (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0462809/) who was on growing pains and did a voice on GI Joe

Duality's nice and all, but the fights are a bit juttery.
I'm partial to Art of the Saber my self. It doesn't have the high production, but the choreography is good and it's carried out well. Maybe because they're Asian ;-)

I also notice, after watching the film again for the first time in a while, that this version is different from the one I watched a long time ago from the same site. Not much, mind you. Just the picture.

wow, just wow. that was so well done. i personally thought duality relied too much on CGI, and also, the moves all had an "added in cause it looks cool" feel. AotS just seemed like it was supposed to be. also today, is the introduction of Sneaky's Picks. these are stand out films that i think everyone should watch. but hey, thats my opinion. all picks are final.

There's an actual Aliens VS. Predator movie coming out. Its directed by Paul Anderson, the guy behind Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat.

I just find it odd and amazing at the same time that something made by amatuers is better then big budget hollywood films, perhaps it is hollywood that is the amatuer. ::wisesmilie:: ( :P )

Working in the comic biz while watching the movie industry (for obvious reasons) ive realized one thing...75% of the people who make films are idiots. now, when i say make films, im meaning everyone right up to the guy who greenlit Catwoman (i will hunt that man down..)
