I guess this is kind of a deal. I went to TRU and picked up the last copy of Soul Calibur II they had for $3.48 and when I did, the receipt printed out an extra slip with a phone number on it to call and answer question's for an automated survey. You get a $3 off coupon code for answering the survey (they tell you the code via the phone). Don't know if anyone really cares, but it's worth a free game (or extremely cheap) to me since my TRU has some games that are around $3 a piece.
I asked the cashier what it was about since I had been to TRU before and have gotten no printouts. She said it depends on the store and how busy they get. She also said it gets printed out for about every 20 customers at my TRU (that's about the level of business they do).
I might go out tonight and check on some more deals around town. I just always get this feeling there's a big deal out there I'm missing lately.

The Applebee's I work at does this too... It's a customer service survey. They give you a validation key that is good for a 1 time use. Not sure if it's exactly the same thing though.

I've done this before for TRU. Be prepared to earn that $3 thought. The survey takes forever.

The survey doesn't take that long, I just did it in less than 5 min 'cause I just kept pressing buttons. :)

Yeah, its something they just started on Tuesday 2/1. Basically every x amount of transactions a survey receipt prints(x is determined for each individual store by customer count/sales/etc.). The survey is really short and gives you a code for $3 off your next purchase. It's different from those monthly surveys they randomly choose people for from the phone numbers they collect(with those there was no incentive to do them).

This just started the first of this month. It's prorated based on the amount you spend (so far I've only seen $3 ones) and survey slips are random but based on customer volume.
