my kitten ate through my iPOD earphones, and after getting his deserved ass whopping (he's big enough for one :D ) I'm looking for a pair of earphones of the same quailty for $20 or less. I'm thinking about a pair from sony because the seem like they would be the same quailty.

I have had 3 pairs of the blue earbuds that have a piece that wraps around the ear. EVERY one had one of the buds stop working after a few months of use. Stay away from them.

In my experiance, those cheap ($10) Sony earbuds seem to be great, I had mine forever. I don't know about the newer versions but I would assume they are too, all of my Sony headphones have lasted until they fell apart.

trust me dude, i was in the same issue as you and i bought these shitty $10 earbuds and they suck. DO NOT get those. it suxs so bad. They are the absolute worst. Get some good headphones. If anything rebuy the ipod headphones and get the remote with it.

The best earbud's I've ever owned are the ones that came with my Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra. The iPod headphones don't compare, and I've had some of those $10 Sony's and they suck pretty hard. I'm actually in the same boat as you OP, I'm looking for some good ones too.

The iPod earbuds really do suck. I've been looking for a replacement set for my iPod, hopefully this thread will tip me off on what to get.

I have the Sennheiser MX-500s and they are some of the best earbuds that I've heard, especially for only $15.

Sennheiser MX-500 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004Z0BO/qid=1107655462/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-7376248-3928940?v=glance&s=pc&n=507846)

These Sony MDR-EX51LP earbuds are supposed to be good also, $10 more than the Sennheisers though.

I have those same ones, they're $10 at bestbuy.com so you can see about ordering them for pickup, and they're great. I hated the headphones that came with my Walkman and these were the earbud version of them and loved them. They fit nicely and worked just fine.
