There is a new EB that just opened up by me and they had a ton of great music CD's. I wasn't going there for this, but was surprised by what I found.

I got:
311 greats hits - $1.80
Disturbed - the sickness - $4.50
Mudvayne - the beginning of all things to end - $4.50

I also saw and I'm going to go back and get some CD's from these musicians:
slipknot
tool (how can anybody in their right mind part with a Tool CD??? )
perfect circle
U2
lenny kravitz
jay z
stp
marilyn manson
rage against the machine
tribe called quest
linkin park
incubus
p.o.d.
staind
pantera
metallica
static x
system of a down
ludacris

As you can tell, I like metal, rock, and a little rap. these were all between $2 and $6 bucks, which isn't bad, especially if you have an edge card. just thought i'd pass it a long and maybe start a thread of the good stuff people have found. Like I said, this was the last thing i expected to get into at EB, but found some good stuff.

I had no clue EB even accepted music cds as trade ins. I have a bunch of old crappy cds I need to get rid of. That is a good selection, an absolute steal at that price for some of those groups.

In your opinion of course.

And I just learned this today as well, at the Providence Place mall, the EBGames there had CD's. I didn't buy any.

yeah, ebgames takes cds, this surprised me. If they sell these through the b2g1free these arent bad, esp if they stack with edge.

also if i am buying 2 $4 games during b2g1free and cant find another $4 game, i can just get a $4 cd.

did they have any R&B?
I looked to see the what they would give for 2 SWV CD's and 1 rare Mary J Blige Japan only release would get and it was damn near nothing. I only remember 60 cents for the SWV CD. But I'll look there for some deals

I'll check with some of my EBs. I'm hoping to find a couple Linkin Park CDs (Hybrid Theory and Meteora) for around $4 each. :)

They had a ton of good stuff....for every genre (so, those who don't care for my selections can find whatever they want). For instance, my wife almost got a bon jovi CD and i saw a bunch of r&b, pop, and stuff like that.

Some of the cases and cd's were pretty messed up. I passed on a couple of good cd's that i literally almost bought at best buy for $15 each two weeks ago because they were so scratched up.

There are like 15 EB's between my house and work and this is the first that i've seen carry music CD's. Plus they opened on Friday, so that's why their selection is probably so good. I didn't see anything really good for games, tho, just the usual stuff. Nothing rare or particularly cheap.

You chose 311, Disturbed, and Mudvayne over Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, and U2?

I'm going to agree with organicow.

He he, i have an answer....

1. I have every Tool CD already, I'm a huge tool fan.

2. I had the STP disc in my hand ready to buy, but the disc was scratched to hell......no buy

3. I also intended to buy the U2 disc, but there was no disc, just the case.

see smart ass!
