You can do a search on the IGN "My Collection" page and leave everything blank but platform. It will only show 500 games, though, so you might have to do it letter by letter. Then, use IE and import to Excel or try just highlight and paste into Word. These functions work better than you'd think, although I didn't try this idea out all the way using the IGN list.

It's a lot of erasing when using IGN.
There is a site,.. I remember someone linking me to, that had them all, ... promos and everything.
All in copy-able format.
AAAAAAAARRRGGHHHH!
Thanks though.

Nintendo.com has the master list on there website, With fire fox just go to View>page style> Basic Page Style then just copy and paste the list to a any word processor. Theres only 20 pages of games (470 games I think) so shouldn't take long.

Only 470 games... That's still a huge amount... I guess not in comparison to Ps2 or whatever.

That includes announced and unreleased games.
Somewhere, Nintendo also has a PDF you can download of every game ever released or at least they used to.

While building my list I have realized that Nintendo.com's master list is not very accurate. They don't list a lot of games that are supposed to be released and a lot of release dates are wrong. I have compiled a list in excel myself that has every game released through february including the following:
title
developer
publisher
release date
So far here is a total run the released games and demos:
417 games (this includes both Zelda bonus discs, and pacman vs.)
24 kiosk demos
7 bonus/demo discs (this includes the mario kart bonus disc, metroid bonus disc, and ultra rare Soul Calibur II demo disc that I have...hee hee...)
Out of all of these I have 380 games, 15 kiosk demos, and all bonus/demo discs. If anybody needs a copy of the list I can email it to you.

Why single out Pacman Versus? Rare or something?

Wellp, every so often this has to happen.
My count is (again) off from yours bj... by like 3 or 4. And this time I am counting the ones you count separate etc.
Also, why do you have 417 including those 2 bonus discs, and then have a separate category for Bonus/Demo discs?
I have a total count right now of 443 (I just group them all together because they are all "titles").
Oh... and I am willing to bet the Soul Calibur Demo disc is not "ultra-rare". Namco made just as many demo discs for each console. They just haven't surfaced yet (but once people start getting rid of this generation's "junk", there will be tons). Plus, it's like the worst demo disc ever. No menu, straight loading to the same demo that is in both the Preview Disc and the kiosk demo.

I include those specific demos because nintendo does on there release list.
Jammr. If you have a different count please email me your list at bjeong1381@yahoo.com and I will compare the two different lists. I did this with another user on another website and our lists were exactly the same.

Yah you were counting 5 games that haven't been released yet.
Also, I still don't like the idea of counting the Mario Kart: Double Dash Bonus Disc as a separate title....

I love you guys.
Your rules are hilarious.
I'm not sure if I should count my sealed games either, then.
They are duplicates, but they are still TITLES.
I have sealed dupes of:
Bust a Move 3K
Skies of Arcadia
Metroid Prime w/demo
Metroid Prime KMart
Gauntlet
Gotcha Force
Ikaruga
Goblin Commander
Pro Rally
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil CVX
Sega Soccer Slam
Pokemon Colosseum demo
RE 4 demo
Cubivore
Rogue Sqaudron demo
1080 Walmart
F-Zero
Bloodrayne
Pokemon Channel
So should I add these 21 games onto my collection????
Stop being silly.
This is just a great hobby, why are you fightning??

i would say yes, you should add them to your collection... they don't have to be opened. nobody ever said you had to PLAY the games, just have them.
and i don't think they're really "fighting." i collect a lot of stuff, and discussions like this come up very often. people have different rules about what constitutes a "complete" collection. i see problems with bjeong's collection, i see problems with JAMMR's collection. but i'm sure they'd see problems with mine as well.
the "fight" is just an attempt to provide all of us with some more info on the subject matter.
for example, if you're looking for an exact number of how many gamecube games are available, people will have different numbers. JAMMR doesn't count the mario kart bonus disc, some people don't count any of the kiosk demos, i don't think pso+ should be considered a separate title, etc. you just have to decide which "rules" make you happy. we all have ours, and shouldn't criticize those of others (too much).
and about that soul calibur demo... well, people should be correctly informed. it's not ultra-rare. i have one too, and from the sounds of it, so does JAMMR. that's 3 people in this thread alone. it is "rare" but it ain't "ultra-rare."
we can all agree on one thing though... it IS a great hobby...

DocR- Love the avatar
Anyways, I think drone was saying had duplicate copies of all those games. In which case, drone, c'mon... that obviously isn't what I mean by "Title". Intrinsic to that definition would be "Unique" titles.
For example, a complete US coin collection doesn't mean you have to have every coin in existence...
Secondly, drone... if you have dupes of all those games, here's what you should do: send them to me
Lastly, I totally agree with DocR's sentiments; it's a collection, a personal collection - so the collector can set any parameters they want. One could feel comfortable with only going with Nintendo's list, albeit in it's incomplete form - and someone like me would have to shut up about it if they were fine with it, but it's not my definition of "complete". And I don't really think I've made up crazy rules vis-a-vis bjeong's. I just don't think we should include games that haven't been released yet.... or else my total count is oh, say, 600.
DocRamon

oh... sealed DUPLICATES... hmm...
i know that i wouldn't count them. and obviously JAMMR wouldn't count them.
but you're allowed to put your own rules on your collection. if you want to have opened and sealed copies of all games, then add these ones to your list. if you think that's overkill, then don't add them to the list. but if you're looking to get rid of any, i'd be happy to take some off your hands.
also, some of those that you listed are variants, like the walmart 1080 and the metroids. those may be worth adding to your collection if you want to collect variant covers. but again, that's all up to you, and what you think makes up a "complete" collection.

Because it was never released alone it came as a bonus with some titles yet its still a full entirely different game

The only reason I count those games is that I update my list once a month at the beginning. If it is coming out that month I include it.

02-23-2005, 10:09 PM
i got my pac-man vs alone... my local gamestop was just handing them out.
it was never SOLD alone... but that's still no reason to single it out. the mario kart bonus disc was never sold alone either, nor were the kiosk demos... but they aren't listed as "games" in bjeong's categories.
i have to admit... i don't understand bjeong's division of titles, just as JAMMR doesn't. but i don't care enough to tell him he's wrong. he can do what he wants. he'd probably laugh at some of my rules too.
JAMMR

I'll just throw out another random thought into the mix. If you can count the Double Dash Bonus as it's own title, you can count the Ribbit King Bonus as well.
bjeong1381
02-24-2005, 03:26 PM
The reason why I count the Mario Kart disc and not the ribbit king disc is that every copy of Ribbit King comes with the bonus disc. Only the first shipments of Mario Kart came with the bonus disc.
JAMMR
02-24-2005, 03:36 PM
I think that's possible the most trivial reason to count it. At least some good reasons are that the MK:DD disc has features other than that related to the game (which still wouldn't be a good reason - see Pokemon Col. or Rogue Sq. III)... That's a reason based on it's exclusiveness. In which case, that should justify needing to collect something like variant covers, like the "limited edition" Bounty Hunter cover from Best Buy.
Or, slippery slope implied, needing to collect first version of all the games.
But if you mean that it's necessary to get the Bonus disc 2-pack because it came in initial shipments, then I agree. I just consider the bonus disc to be exactly like what the bonus disc is to Ribbit King, part of the whole title.
Anyways, shades of gray...

You still don't understand what I am saying. Mario Kart was only shipped with the bonus disc for a limited time. Ribbit King is only available with the bonus disc.

You still don't understand what I am saying. Mario Kart was only shipped with the bonus disc for a limited time. Ribbit King is only available with the bonus disc.
No, I completely understand what you are saying...
Being shipped with the Bonus disc for a limited time just means that if you want original runs of each title, you need the one with the Bonus disc.
If availability/exclusivity is the only parameter, then my analogy still holds true. Here's one more, grounded in actual variations:
Metroid Prime has been released in many versions, each time fixing minor glitches and stuff that were found after the initial release of the game. One of the glitches that was fixed actually changes the player's ability to break sequence, which metroid fans will say is a MAJOR change.
By your ideas of collecting (i.e. "limited time"), you would need all versions of metroid, and count them as separate titles. After all, the original version was "exclusive" to the first, say, six shipments of the game. Once they fixed the glitch that allows sequence breaking, it could be argued that the gameplay mechanics are totally different and that the game is entirely new.
Of all the reasons to count the MK:DD Bonus disc separately, exclusiveness should be the LEAST applicable reason. At least say you're counting it because it has some additional material or some junk.
In the end, it's your collection, and you can set whatever parameters you like. But that's the most bunk explanation ever to actually SEPARATE the Bonus disc from the regular disc. It raises a multitude of questions such as do you change out the cover art for the MK:DD? It says the case will have the Bonus disc yet it looks like your Bonus disc is in a separate place (actually it looks like it's not in a case at all :P )...

what is the ultra-rare Soul Calibur II demo disc?
i'll go ahead and field this one...
http://www.philipsfilmreviews.com/sc2demo.jpg
a few months before the game was released, namco sent these demos to retailers for use in the store kiosks, as opposed to the standard kiosk demos that are normally used. they feature nothing special, just a very quick playable game demo. no extra movies, not even a fancy menu screen. it's actually a very boring disc.
in terms of the gamecube version, it is the same demo featured on the preview disc, and a few of the standard kiosk demos. this one is just special because it's all by itself on a disc.
but it is not ultra-rare. it was given out to retailers just like the standard kiosk demos are. there is a small chance that some of these were just trashed, because retailers are less likely to use this particular demo over a multi-game disc. but that still wouldn't make it much harder to find than one of the more rare demo discs. there's plenty of copies out there, they just haven't surfaced much yet. but production numbers were not limited to a small amount. on the contrary, they were rather high, as this disc was meant to be a promotional tool, and most every retailer received a copy. i wouldn't view them any differently than i would a regular old kiosk demo.

Uh... yes, you do. It's part of the 7 Bonus discs that you said in the first page of this thread (and it's on your excel list). Also, what does having 2 copies of it matter? To me, it just means there's some copy of the original print run (with the red banner) floating around that's missing it's Bonus disc.

The list of bonus discs is just that. A list of bonus discs. They aren't counted in my total of released games for the cube.
