MOD: Please close this thread. My work here is done.

EDIT: I got it online with free shipping, either DDD or Circuit City. I forget which. Thanks for the help, all.

Any deals? I had a friend in Chicago pick it up at Target for 15, but that may be a YMMV issue- the website has it listed at 20. DDD is at 16.14.
But I want 15!

Last minute Valentine for me mum. Any help is appreciated.

I'd try Target just in case. It just came out this Tues. and new releases are usually cheaper the first week they're out. If not, FYE has it for $20 with a $5 mail in rebate but that's a lot of hassle.

Good movie, watched it last night w/my wife. The beginning's slow but good after the first 30 min. or so.

Our local Walmart usually has new releases at just below $15. They are always the cheapest price locally.

You should call them.

I hope the ending isn't like your relationship, that'd be messed up.

Girls are weird comparing their relationship to this movie..

Great movie. My girlfriend suggested I watch it for homework. Picked it up at CC for $14.99 which seems to be the cheapest at least this week.

Yep. I ran over there to get it- then realized that DUH, I have to mail this. I immediately returned it, went home, and bought it off of the website with free shipping. ^_^

Can someone please explain what the big deal about this movie is? I mean the past week at my store I've heard nothing but Notebook this, Notebook that.... is this movie that good that its sending people out in floods to store to buy it?

Perhaps I just don't get it....

Ask your girlfriend about it. She'll probably gush about it being a really great film. I actually did like it. Very well done. The ending and the look on the character's face, I just couldn't imagine having to deal with that.

I'm not "involved," so I don't really see these sorts of movies, but late one night this weekend I got a call asking if I wanted to come watch it. I figure I might as well to see what all the hype is about and to spend time with friends.

The "main" story is your standard predictable love story (but quite charming, especially the actors). But the true beauty of the film lies in outer framing of how and why the story is being told.

Oh, and there's boob. And some deleted stuff that obviously really had to removed to keep the PG-13 rating. Yeowch... Makes me wonder how much of this was actually written in the novel.

Yeah, I thought the movie was ok....watched it last night...good ol' Blockbuster.com came through on V-day.

Hmmm, and for the poster that got excited about seeing a glimpse of boob, that's just sad....or is it Mr. Skin? ;)

Hmmm, and for the poster that got excited about seeing a glimpse of boob, that's just sad....or is it Mr. Skin? ;)I'm just sayin', if any other fellas need some incentive to watch it instead of dashing off when asked to watch the film, there's your "consolation prize" of sorts (fleeting as it may be). I only mention it because it was totally unexpected and really could have been done without.

Holding your sweeheart in your arms while watching it should be consolation enough.
