Definitely one of the best to play, too bad he couldn't win a championship with Stockton.
As for Reggie, it'll be sad to see him go. He was one of my favorite players of all-time. A great shooter that is sure to make it to the Hall of Fame.

That's what was always funny to me about Utah, here you've got John Stockton, the epitome of class, no surprises when he retired in a Jazz uniform; then you've got Malone, the cheap-shot artist that abandoned his first kids, yet goes on tv with his new family while he was in the NBA finals... I'm so glad he'll never win a ring.

I have nothing but respect for the mailman for what he did on the court. Like they said on ATH today, you can name 50 shooting guards in the same class as Reggie Miller, but no one comes close to Karl Malone.
and lets face it, it is not like he did not get jipped by the refs in the finals when MJ hit that game winning shot. It was clearly a foul (kind of like the Jeter play where Giambi is clearly safe in the A's/ Yank's series a few years back)

There was also some speculation that he would go to the Spurs (but this (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1944994) is why he had said that he would never play for the Lakers again)

Malone definately is a suck ass as a human being but as far as his court skills he was one of the best IMO. I think that he waited too long to retire. I firmly beleive sports figures should go out before there skills start declining. This way you can remember them for how good they were without the displeasing memories of them teabagging the man for 4 or 5 extra years just to get a paycheck
