I actually just came back from GS. My friend pre-ordered it. Just pre-order it, and if you don't like it, ask to switch the $5 to another game or get your money back. Some GS's may just give them away too.

Whats the latest you can switch the preorder on games? like the day before it comes out?

I'm not exactly sure. Maybe call GS? I watched my friend play it for maybe 10 minutes. I just laughed at him as he tried to figure out the controls.

I have it. GS gave it to me free when I was in there. They usually just give demos away to people that are in there a lot. It's pretty good but hard to get the controls down. Once I did it was fun. The melee is balanced but you have to be careful. Button mashers will get owned on it. I did awful until I planned my attacks and blocks better. I wasn't sure about buying it but now I will.

I think I read that OXM will have it this issue. They had Iron Phoenix from last month on Live and it was really good. A ton of melee attack combos but no ranged. In UC2 I tried to stick to melee to learn it but I noticed it was a little limited since it only has so many attacks.

I know you already have the demo, but the cheapest thing to do is just put $5 down on it, then go back a few days later and pull the $5 off of it.. or rotate it to something else to get more preorder bonuses. I'll probably join you guys later tonight in playing some UC2.

You will LOVE it.
Actually, you'll hate it at first until you figure out adrenaline bursts and whatnot, but this game f@rking rules. RULES.

So I guess this really was a 5 dollars well spent unlike your purchase of enter the matrix of 49.99

I beat the Matrix and returned it and did get my full amount of money back. So yes, the $5 is well spent.

Okay, played it for about an hour, have some pros and cons:
Pros:
-Guns are awesome
-Effects are cool
-Swords/melee combat is awesome
-you can deflect gun shots with melee
-adrenaline makes you or breaks you
-Alot of fun
Cons:
-Guns always beat melee unless your up close
-Freeze attack from anubis is overpowered
-some melee attacks are just useless (i.e. when your the big green guy and jump and press B, thatdoes nothing but get you to the guy but by the time you can focus, he either kills you or is far away)
-its hard to catch up to people and that makes it hard to sneak up on people and melee attack them.
On a side note, the levels aren't the best (there are 3 intotal) but are good, online play only has 4 (a bit dissapointing) but the full has 8.
The demo so far gets a 9.6 out of 10 but I would prob give it an 8.5 if I wasn't looking for something other than halo 2 to play.

-Guns always beat melee unless your up close
..that's the case for every game.
-Freeze attack from anubis is overpowered
Agreed.
-some melee attacks are just useless (i.e. when your the big green guy and jump and press B, thatdoes nothing but get you to the guy but by the time you can focus, he either kills you or is far away)
I think that leads into another combo or something because some guy owned the hell out of me doing that.
-its hard to catch up to people and that makes it hard to sneak up on people and melee attack them.
Use the speed adrenaline (if you hit X twice, you get a second set of adrenaline moves)
-you can deflect gun shots with melee
I thought that was the 'rejected' adrenaline thing.

1.Yeah, not the games fault.
2.Whoa. Ladies and gentle men, i do not lie, but scorch has agreed to something I have said!
3. Now if only I knew how to do that.
4. that the thing I rather have it not like that, but I found that if you double jump you can get places a bit faster.
5.no, with your melee attack out press L right before it hits you and it will go back at the shooter.

word to that
it reminds me of the game rune (think iron phoenix... but old and shitty)
everyone ran the same speed, so trying to catch up to someone was soo annoying and frustrating!
