Personally, I tend to lean towards the arcade racers like Burnout 3, Mario Kart, Outrun 2, etc. I mean the sim racers are fun, the Gran Turismo series mainly and SegaGT, but I just find the arcade racers more fun.

I love both!!! but there's no option. I love GT, Test Drive Le Mans, Sega GT 2000 and Burnout 3, MSR, and Test Drive EoD equally.

I really wish there was a way to add more options, I knew there was one option I had forgetten :? .

There always is. Maybe it's something you could see if Cheapy or Defender can change?

Arcade racers. I would rather powerslide going 100 mph in Ridge Racer, crash into cars in Burnout 3 or drive a go kart with a green dinosaur than fine tune a car and worry about braking and gear shifting.

Sim racers make me feel like I'm working rather than playing. I can scare myself just fine with my car. I want a racer to feature actions I could never hope to perform in the real world.

90% arcade racer, 10% sim racer.
arcade racing games are fantasy and fun driven.
-crazy power-ups, and characters
-crazy jumps, slides, crashes, and tracks
-insane speeds
-aggressive racing is normally rewarded. :D
sim racing is life-like and well.....realistic.
-hey, this is just like laguna seca
-hey, this is just like sears point
-hey, this is just like monza....suzuka, and daytona!
(well, it's good for practice)
-aggressive racing is usually punished. :x

I really love arcade racing games, but, I still enjoy simulation racing games too...
Even though sim racers are alright, I have to go with the arcade racers. they are just more fun like the OP said. From Mario Kart to Burnout 3, they just have a great fun factor that, IMO, the sim racers don't have.
