Dropped Gamecube

In the excitement of playing Mario Kart, someone pulled too hard on the controller, causing the game cube to fall from the shelf. Now, when trying to play, the gamecube doesn't read any of the controllers.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed? Or is it not worth it and a new one should be bought?

T ry opening up the system and check that everything is connected to eachother and in their own places.

That happened with my original Playstation.. I just had to open it up and reconnect a little ribbon cable. I doubt it'll be anything more troublesome than that.

Call Nintendo and see if they'll fix it for you. They were kind enough to fix mine when it had a disc read error for free without a receipt or warranty (i think).

yea u might wanna call nintendo. if ur under warranty they might fix it for free, but dont open ur gc b4 that or the warranty is void. if however they dont then u can probally go ahead and try to fix it urself or sell it broken on ebay, people still buy it for a few.

I've seen that happen with an N64. Playing Mario Kart, a friend of mine yanked the controller so hard that it pulled the machine off the shelf and smashed it pretty hard on the floor.

It happened to my N64, but I think it was during a heated game of Star Fox. Ah, memories.

That happened to my buddy's Dreamcast during Soul Caliber. Between that worry and Pac Man Versus, there's more than enough incentive to invest in Wavebirds.

What you need to do is shake the GC. As dumb as that sounds, my friend did it to his PS2 and it worked. I HIGHLY doubt that it'll have the same good effect on yours, but hey, better than nothing right?

Nintendo fixes stuff for free. my GBA broke and all they needed was the UPC number and it was fixed for free. Didn't take very long, either. Proably your best bet.

hmm I dropped my cube twice (both during a heated game of SMBM) and nothing ever happened. Regardless I'm still very glad I have 2 wave birds now.

The controller board probably poped out of place. You probably just have to push it back in. Unfortunately you need a special screwdriver to open up the gamecube.

That sucks.

Recently my fiancee was playing, and a dog came running through and made the Gamecube fall of the TV and dragged it outside. It still works like new, it's just scratched up.

I wish she was playing with the WaveBird at the time, but at least it still works!

Once I was sitting on the ground, playing Gamecube. When I got up my foot was asleep, and I fell back down, pulling the Cube with me. It only fell about 2 inches to carpet, so it was fine.
