I'm so sick of hearing about the frag dolls at this point (and all the free advertising they get in magazines, online, etc.). I'm pretty sure those chicks wouldn't have anything to do with each other (and probably wouldn't spend much time gaming either) if Ubisoft wasn't paying them each an assload of cash. They're just a bunch of glorified booth babes.

Well in my experience, games an women are a bit like women and sports. As in if you push it on them enough, they might grow to appreciate and or understand usually, and if you're really lucky maybe even enjoy. But games aren't something they'd ever usually gravitate towards on thier own. (and yes I'm sure you know an exception. I just mean in general)

This is very true. I've run into a few pureblood gamers over the years. Not converts, not social gamers, but true gamers. They are constantly annoyed at people hitting on them. Everyone wants to be with them. They own so many people in town, they can call in any number of favors from their loyal pawns whenever they wish. The magnitude of the power they wield is just sick.
Gamer chicks may not be a myth, but single ones are.

It's not the female gamers that annoy me, it's the drooling morons that are so quick to toss their self-esteem aside in order to curry favor with said female gamers. Hell, it happens on CAG and every other 'traditionally male' arena as well. I always think "have a little backbone, guys" whenever I see the fawning and ass-kissing. THAT is sick.
