Wait a little while, you know that CheapyD has just him and one other person helping count the votes. He probably will posted beginning of March.

Yep, cagbot is helping out, though I'm not sure how much help he is.

I think CAGBOT was upgraded with C.H.A.D. : Cheapy Helper and Dishwasher.
Ive heard some bad things about those C.H.A.D. programs, they apparently hang a lot
EDIT: yes, 5 year old political humor still makes me laugh. BTW, i write for Leno

Yeah, and I hear he's from Florida, which means he poorly made and more likely to hang a lot. Maybe some recounts will be in order.

Actually, I am waiting for an official response from the retailers before I announce the results (think acceptance speech).
I hopeful for this week.
Thanks for your patience guys.

I know that Cheapy is busy, but you guys know that the polls are automatically tallied, right? Just like when we vote on regular threads?
EDIT: Wow, I wonder what the retailers will say. "Thank you for raping and pillaging our stores."

That's probably why its taking so long...its not easy to thank someone for that!
Seriously though, IMHO these awards should be kinda a big deal and the retailers should treat them as such.
As far as I know, there are no other awards for game retailers, certainly not voted upon by the such experienced shoppers such as yourselves.

Considering we end up knowing more than the people trying to help us, i think thats a fair statement :)

I agree Cheapy. I mean you put in so much work here at CAG to get everything running smoothly and promting deals. Us users also spend so much money in their stores over the course of a year. I think it is only fair for these stores to kinda say thanks to you and treat these awards seriously as any other award shows.

Maybe the retailers can show their appreciation by giving up some more exclusive coupon codes. Maybe upgrade the CAG15 to CAG20.

If Best Buy is any indication, any number of retailers could be hostile toward shoppers that specifically target just their clearance merchandise. Retailers want you to pay full price, so educated shoppers are not their ideal customers. Getting an award from educated consumers may mean they're too generous in their clearance discounts, and they may rethink such discounts in the future if CAG flaunts it before them.

Or they can think of it as people who clear out thier glut of crap and keep thier stores clean (Target). Also, by being consistant with deals, they also end up with new customers who will buy other stuff while cleaning out the clearance areas/deals (Gamerush, Target)

I think both of you are right to some extent. It's really going to depend on the company itself. Best Buy has already deemed us "devil" customers. I don't think they'll appreciate an award from the devil. On the other hand, TRU may thank us for taking some of that hideous crap off of their hands.
The world my never know...

didnt mean to sound impatient, i just figured cheapy already posted them and i missed it
Maybe no employee of these chains wants to risk becoming a marked man by openly acknowledging on behalf of their company that a small, savvy customer base has disproportionately benefited from sales & specials which were supposedly meant to increase customer satisfaction across the general public.
