I have been meaning to post these for a while since I saw them a couple weeks ago. I'll just post the title and let you guys go crazy.

Kung Fu Hustle - SEE IT NOW, GET IT OFF TORRENTS PRE ORDER THE DVD FROM CHINA (THE $100 LIKE ME IF YOU'RE COOL ENOUGH) I DONT CARE GET IT NOW

Ong Bak - Very cool, a mix between Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, Tony Jaa lives up to the hype.

:D

Also some older ones: Casshern, Battle Royale

Ong Bak is very good, saw it this summer. Same with Battle Royale.

Casshern I only got an hour into, it wasn't holding my interest. I'll go back to it eventually.

A friend of mine got a copy of Kung Fu Hustle (most likely a bootleg, since I don't think the real thing has been released yet anywhere), so I'll probably watch it with him and then decide if I want to purchase it. The super collector's version looks pretty cool and has a bunch of neat stuff with it, but the cheapest I've seen it for is about US $60.

Ong Bak is pretty good. I would definitely buy it if there was an uncut English-subbed non-bootleg copy available. The story and acting isn't that great, but the fight choreography is excellent. Very enjoyable.

Battle Royale was also a great movie. Haven't heard good things about the sequel though, so I haven't seen the sequel. Plus, you can't go wrong with Takeshi Kitano. In fact, I'll recommend a Kitano movie: Kikujiro. It's not violent like many of his other works, which may turn some viewers off. However, it's a very heartfelt movie with many funny and touching moments. And you'll probably have the theme tune stuck in your head for a while. :)

Great topic, OP!
