from the same seller... zero feedback, I smell scam!

I emailed the seller to see what was going on. Here's his response. The poor English kind of worries me, but it could be a chance to get a really cheap Suikoden 2 if this guy turns out to be legit.

that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. i mean, i use stock photos often, and i don't see why it would be necessary to scan in the cover of a game or whatever when a picture of the cover is readily available, and the scan will either look virtually identical to the stock photo, thus making it useless, or the scan will be of lower quality than that of the stock photo, which may give potential bidders the wrong idea.

I'd be careful its a bitch going through paypal chargeback and they charge a 25$ fee for it so i would advise you not to bid on this at all. Consdiering the last two auctions i won didn't have a photo of the item or were paypal buyer protected and both of them were scams.

I don't see the problem. These are uber-rare "used new" oxymoron copies of Suikoden. So used, they're new... or so new, they're used. Wait, my head hurts. D'oh.

Actually it does make sense. If someone were selling a 1956 Mustang and used a photo from a car magazine instead of a photo of the actual car would you buy it from ebay? I would prefer to see the actual merchandise that someone is selling. That doesn't mean someone still couldn't pull a scam but most scams I have seen use stock photos and multiple like-items for bids.

i dont buy from people with 0 feedback, its just not good policy...expecially on something as rare as this and as poorly described

i mean, what are the chances this idiot really found multiple copies of this game sealed just laying at his walmart or something....i bet they end up being burned copies...or no copies at all!!

Take your time. He's got 9 of them up there now, so there's plenty of them to go around. This guy is single-handedly going to turn Suikoden II into a common game. We've finally found the individual who has been hording all of these!

He did have a suikoden 2 though, his very first auction that he got feedback on was suikoden 2 and he got positive feedback.

Yeah, he had 1 Suikoden 2. It's hard to sell 1 copy of a game to multiple people though. :roll:

I think we're all smart enough to know there's a difference between video games and cars. The only thing about a stock photo of a game is you can't see the condition of the case and manual. Not that big a deal to most people. And just because someone has a stock picture of a game doesn't mean it's not a scam. They could take pictures of all their games and pretend to sell them. Doesn't mean they're going to send them out.

That means there is a great possibility that dude sold the copy they did have, and was amazed at the amount it sold for; thus, they could have possibly decided to go all out and sell a bunch of them at once, eBay account be damned. It will make you more money faster than, say, selling a copy of Perfect Dark will.
