I concur with AD. I think I'm going to go pick it up. As for Wonderfalls, I never saw it, but it's by the guy who did Dead Like Me, which I loved. For $23, I may just be willing to give it a shot.

you might see a temporary promo....something like the south park one in the ads...."buy season 3, save $5 off of season 2"....but you're not going to see much better then that....i suggest you wait til the deepdiscountdvd.com sale that happens twice a year....every dvd on their site during the sell is 20% off AC....the next deal should be sometime near the 4th of July
ps: as soon as i finished watching season 1...i left the house, went straight to best buy, bought season 2 at full price and lived a happy life until i finished season 2 the following day....so, depending on the money that you have available, its up to you....but i would've paid more then full price if i had to....this is easily one of my favorite shows ever
Great deal on 24 S3. Almost as cheap as DDD's 20% off price.

Wonderfalls is a cutesy show (think Ed or Northern Exposure, but for a slightly younger demo) about a girl who starts to talk to inanimate objects, typically animals (i.e. the plastic monkeys in a Barrel of Monkeys, to give an example that's not from the show because I've never seen it). I'm not one to buy whole seasons of TV sight unseen, but if I rent a disc of it, that suddenly bumps the cost of the whole enterprise up into an unfavorable price range. I've spent less on DVD movies I'd never seen (like the Criterion version of Sisters), and I just got Incredibles for free (i.e. for copies of Without Limits, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Ginger Snaps), so I might splurge on this.

Ginger Snaps is a low-budget Canadian version of Spider-Man for girls. Whereas Spider-Man had all kinds of guy puberty jokes (like Peter being publicly embarrassed and unsure what to do when he starts ejaculating sticky white stuff), Ginger Snaps does it for girls -- becoming a woman being akin to becoming a werewolf. (See also Carrie.) The first one is clever and well-acted with appropriate B-grade special effects, but it's nothing too special. I can't speak to the sequels.

19.99 will probably be the normal in store price for The Cat Returns (and the other Ghibi films out that day) however, see if there's a coupon for 2 dollars off inside that first one you buy and then apply it to the second, and then the coupon from the second onto the third (the last wave of Ghilbi titles had the coupons in them). Don't know if they'll have them this time, but it doesn't hurt to look!

That's an EXCELLENT deal. Trust me. I remember when season 4 came out, Best Buy was selling all 4 seasons for $100 bucks, and that was a good deal. Now, it's FIVE seasons for FIVE dollars less. I'm so excited, because I've been wanting to get these for a while. I missed out on a lot of season 3-5 episodes.

It is an incredibly funny show, but you have to be into the style. Not your typical sitcom. It is very smart and worth watching.
Arrested Development follows the adventures of the dysfunctional Bluth family after patriarch George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor, in an Emmy-nominated performance) is hauled off to jail. Responsible son Michael (Jason Bateman) takes over, but even he's no match for his crazy siblings and sharp-tongued mom. Jessica Walter, Portia di Rossi, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, David Cross, Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat co-star in Fox's critically praised sitcom.

I am on disk 3 of 4 right now trying to finish so I can get season 3 in before season 4 starts on the 15th. Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier, but I will just copy what the the box says on the back.
"Although a recent graduate of Brown University, Jaye Tyler decides to ignore her degree, live in a trailer and work at a tourist gift shop in Niagra Falls called Wonderfalls-much to the despair of her well-to-do family. But Jaye's aimless life takes a startling turn after a lion figurine begins talking to her. Her family calls it an "episode" but Jaye knows better. Fearing for her sanity, Jaye nevertheless starts doing exactly what an increasing number of inanimate objects tell her to do and is amazed when her outrageous actions begin changing people's lives in unexpected ways."
I hope that helps some of you out in making a decision or looking it to it more. It really is a good show that didn't make it, so I bought it.
