Do you want to explain your definition of a documentary then? I'm sure you'd be able to properly sum up exactly what a documentary consists of and how Michael Moore's films don't fit in it. I'm sure you'd be able to account for the MANY different forms documentary films have taken in the past 80 years and STILL be able to explain how Michael Moore's films don't fit the criteria. Despite how you feel about his films (I'm not too hot about them either), you still need to accept the fact that his films are documentaries.

Granted, my professor was an easy grader, although I never guaranteed this to be a quality essay. Heh, sorry. Again, I didn't mean to thread crap. Different professors look for different things--I didn't read your paper so I don't know how strong your main points were (and since you received a high score I'm guessing that they were more than sufficient) but from my own experience, I've found that most professors really crack down on grammar.

I used to download some off the internet in high school and doctor them up a little after I got them. Normally I would resell them at school the next year, hell thats how i bought my car was reselling old papers I had typed for $20 a pop, and for an extra $10 I would change shit around so that it looked totally original.

I think The Big One was pretty true to what reality really is on the issue for outsourcing. I mean, for workers here in the US (especially in the fields of computer engineering and tech support), outsourcing is a huge problem. Michael Moore really just filmed a good 'educational' film on the issue and some of the workers' point of views after having their jobs outsourced. It is a much more of a documentary than 9/11 and even Bowling for Columbine... if you want to rank them based on how much of a documentary they are that is.

I'm also a science major, and English classes also net in my best grades. :shock: My writing is only so-so, but I banged up 6-9 page essays the night before they're due and still get A's on them. Yet I study my ass off in upper division bio and chem and I could only get B's. And yah I hope he read my fine print, although kind of vague, I'm sure he gets the idea...hopefully. :wink:

I didn't even read any of the essay, but I can't imagine it's worse than some of the shit I've had to suffer through. I took a 300-level professional writing course last semester, and I was absolutely disgusted at the number of students in their third or fourth year of college who can't read or write (granted, I don't go to the most renowned school on earth, but still). We had to do peer critiques, and I wanted to kill myself every single time. I distinctly remember making these comments:
"Did you realize that one sentence is over three-quarters of a page?"
"Um, did you know you used the word 'company' four times in this sentence?"
"Yeah, those aren't words, you may want to change those."
I imagine most of these people passed the class with Bs, too. The instructor was a twat.
