As some of you may or may not know; I work at Gamestop and I hate my Store manager. I've never met a more self-serving, anally retentive low-level management douchebag. Well tonight, I was standing there ringing some people up when I see two guys in suits walk in. They go to the back and close the door. A few minutes later, they come out, Store Manager in tow and escort him out the door. It turns out that my Store manager was under investigation for "odd" store credits he was issuing/reporting. They were so "odd" in fact, tat the Head of Loss Prevention was one of the guys in suits who ejected him from the building. BAM! Fired. Ha ha ha! No one was more deserving. Not only was he pathetically inept; customers hated him with a passion. Now that he's gone, my relatively cool Asst. Manager gets to be Store manager and I get a promotion to SGA. Ah, life is good.

Senior Game Advisor...like almost management. I'm one of those too, although my manager is a nice guy.

Senior Game Advisor, think of it as Assistant- Assistant Manager.

Good for you! Assholes need to be weeded out from positions of authority (this coming from a GOOD store manager)

i want to work at an eb or gamestop, but i don't want to drive 30 mins or an hour for low pay, when i can just work at a grocery store and make decent pay for what i do. its a cruel world. =\

I thought you get payed decently at EB. I knew all the employees there before alot of new ones came and old ones went, so I talked with them alot. I know I shouldn't have, but I asked one how much he works while I was at the store, he told me it was confidential, seriously, like he wasn't supposed to give it out. Then when I talked to two of the other employees online (PSO for Xbox), they said that it isn't required to keep that confidential and told me their pay. I can't remember what it was exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was decent. If it wasn't, I probably would've remembered that, since I wanna work in some kinda of game store when I get older, since there are four in my area. Even if not any of those, somewhere like Best Buy or Circuit City would be fine with me.

16, but I wouldn't really try unless you're 18. Anyway, the point is, MY BOSS IS GONE! It's like a mental orgasm, seriously.

Reminds me of when I worked at EB circa 1990. My boss was an ass and we all decided to give our two weeks notice in order to give someone a hint. Neither he or home office ever picked up on it. We took the help wanted sign down when he wasn't around. I was the last one to go and the one guy who didn't agree to quit with us got fired on my last day. My boss ran the store by himself with the help of his girlfriend and brother after that I think.

That'd be a good impression, going in there the first day they open and applying. But then again, I won't be eligible for a job for atleast three years, so I'm not basing my posts on experience.
