Who else is sick of hearing people bitch about "delayed" games? I know I am.
Example: Halo 2. It's done when it's done. Bungie has never had solid release dates because they want to make sure the game is the best it can be. Get the hell over it.

I know you started this because I stated that Conker would be delayed, which is the truth, it is a known fact that Rare delays their games, but I really wasn't bitching since I was basically telling the guy to buy the game for $5 on N64.
Try being a fan of Working Designs. They make Rare look good.

Or how about Natsume, last year they wanted to release Harvest Moon: FoMt highly anticipated on the GBA. Delayed week, by week, by week, for months. That was ridiculous.

they make rare look good? rare makes some pretty shitty games recently, WD usually picks games with great gameplay. also they hardly ever put out tent. release dates anymore because they always miss them...and thats fine, quality over quantity!

I'm pretty sure the only game I've ever bitched about being delayed is Halo 2. I think that goes for alot of ppl. Cuz sure, it was really amazing when I saw the actual gameplay footage, but now it's not so awesome anymore. I mean, I've seen alot of Half-Life 2 footage, and I see why it's taking them a long time. And that Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, whoa baby! That game looks awesome and I didn't even here about it a month ago, and it's coming out this Fall. Well, I actually kinda think that game is gonna be delayed, but I doubt anymore than Halo 2.

the problem with delayed games is that in order to keep you interested in them the companies have to pump out an extreme amount of hype and once the game shipsif that hype is empty you feel pissed for waiting.
So once it gets pushed back you either have to worry about it being sucky when you actually get it or expect it to kick ludicrous ass when it does and risk being dissapointed.

Why would anyone bitch about Half Life 2? They got hacked for christs sake! It would have been WAY too easy to cheat in that game had it not been delayed and reworked. Counterstrike anyone?

I think people have something to bitch about when a game gets delayed from say, April to October, but if it gets pushed back a few weeks or a month then you should be thankful that they may be working some stuff out.

The Crytek engine is very similar to source.
And it has awesome gameplay and a 1.2 kilometer draw distance.

hi quackzilla, what are the minimum requirements? my comp's getting old (1.2ghz, 512mb 133sdram, 32mb geforce card, etc.) and i'm worried it won't be enough to play farcry. thanks.
ps. you can get it for $25 at bb with the ggc.

I agree. I'd rather they wait and make the game good. There's way too many cases of them rushing the game out to meet some deadline and the game ending up having bugs, being too short, not nearly as good as it could have been. Take as much time as is necessary to get it right. That's one good thing about some of the bigger companies like Nintendo, they don't have to worry financially about one game being delayed so they're more amenable to delaying it to get it right.

I think the retailers just need to stop issuing release dates when nothings cemented. Honestly I was pissed about halo 2 and i wanted to blame bungie until i found out that they had never issued a solid release date. All unconfirmed dates do is get every one mad. I'd be happy with just a ganeral idea of when a game is coming out so I dont get my hopes up prematurely. If they just said that a game would come out in 04 id be happy with that.

Defender do you ever even play on your server ive played ther elike 20 times and never seen ya. I can be found under the WDS Everclear. And as far as the post goes game delays dont bug me because im constantly backlogged on games I need to play.
