Ever since playing the demo in OXM, I knew I was getting this game on launch day. And then...they said it was only going to be 20 bucks! Sold!

Ok so mabye we can get a cheapassgamer clan going.

Found my own answers:

its a Easter Egg in the December Demo Disc (2004)

To access the game, Hold L and press the following:
A, Up, X, Y, Left, Right, B, B, Down, Down, Y, Left, X, Right, A, Up, Down.

0). Tutorial (How to play the game)

0)A. Controls
Right trigger - Lock onto the enemy
Left trigger - Toggle enemies
A, B, Y, X - The buttons you can assign the orbs to
Left thumbstick - Movement
Right thimbstick - Camera Movement
Pressing Left thumbstick in - Jump/Cartwheel

0)B. Concept
The concept of the game is to kill your enemies using 'Orb Magic'

0)C. Orb types
Red - Attack
Blue - Defense
Purple - ???
Yellow - Helps you
Green - Helps you
White - Raises your 'Orb Magic Limit'

0)D. How to play the game
Ok, now, when you start a game up, in the lower right corner of the screen, theres a circle with 4 digits inside of it. The bottom 2 digits tell your max 'Orb Magic Limit'. You can raise this up when you collect and use white orbs. The top 2 digits tell how much of your 'Orb Magic' is left. Now, if you were to have the bottom digits 05, and go collect a red orb, and assign it to A, B, Y, or X, there will be a number that comes up AROUND the circle. Thats how much 'Orb Magic' it uses. If you were to have the bottom digits 05, like I said, and pick up a red orb that uses 3 'Orb Magic', and when you use the attack, it'll take away 3 'Orb Magic' from the top 2 digits, and then it will refill up again.

Now, to the part that most dont understand how this happens, where you start losing life. If you look up in the top right corner of the game screen, it'll be something like this:

The O's are what color orbs are at your spawn point. So, if you were to have a Red orb, a Blue orb, and a White orb at your spawn, it'll look something like this:

(the colors would be filled in)

That tells you what is at your spawn point. Now, the digit on the left (the 25), thats how many orbs you have left till it reaches 0. If you have 3 orbs at your spawn point, and you take all 3 of them, the 25 will go down to a 22. When it reaches 0, or when you have no orbs left, then your health will start to drain. Just remember to keep 1 at the spawn so you dont die quickly.


1).Menu Walkthrough
Although the game is in Japanese, I can help you navigate through the menus.

When you press start, and after the screen with the Controller shows up, itll come to a menu.

The first choice is the Missions Menu (Campaign)
The second choice is Xbox Live
The third choice is a menu that can allow you to mix 2 types of Magic Type (Psychic + Optical, Ki + Nature, etc)
The fourth chioce is the cinematic intro video

1)A. Missions
In the Missions menu, theres 3 choices.
The first choice is a tutorial, with 3 tutorial levels (although you can read japanese) (2 of them are tutorials, 1 of them is where you fight the robots that helped you)
The second choice is the Medium Difficulty missions (2 of them)
The third choice is the Hard Difficulty missions. (2 of them)

1)B. Xbox Live
When you go into the Xbox Live menu, load up your gamertag, and youll be at the first menu..
The first choice is Quick Search
The second choice is Optimatch
The third choice is Create a Match
The fourth and fifth choice arent available in the demo
The sixth choice is The third choice is a menu that can allow you to mix 2 types of Magic Type (Psychic + Optical, Ki + Nature, etc)
The seventh choice is not available in the demo
The eighth choice is the Xbox Live menu (Not this menu)
The ninth choice is not available in the demo
The tenth choice exits you back to the Main Menu

1)C. Quick Search, Optimatch, and Create a Match
You dont have to fiddle around with these, just search for a match with what it says, and Create a match with just what it says.

1)D. 2 Types of Magic
In here, once you get real good with the game, and you know what you are best with, you can mix 2 of them in here. When you get in the menu, ignore the second choice, go straight to the first one. Choose the main magic type you want to use. When chosen, itll go to the list of attacks that you can use with this magic. You can mix around whatever ones you want, BUT YOU CAN ONLY USE 2 TYPES OF MAGIC.

1)E. The Xbox Live Menu
When you go to this menu, the first choice is the Recent Players list. If you go to the first choice, thats player feedback. The second choice, comes up with a voice sending thing, but its really a freind request. You can send them a message with your friend request, or just send them a regular one. The third choice is mute, just incase you want to mute them.

Well I'm like 60% thinking this is useless but for those that still wanted to know ^.^ (and im doing this straight out of my head so please dont talk about errors :P however I do have the full game in english sooo)

Orb types
Red - Attack Orbs (Some have other orb effects)
Blue - Defense Orbs (Some have purple orb effects)
Purple - Erase Orbs (using this type on enemies destroys orbs they have attached)
Yellow - "Special" orbs, this can be from Dashing/Jumping to Levitating and confusing
Green - A sort of ''sub-special'' orbs, can have different stuff just like yellow.
White - Aura Particle (Raises your Orb level by 1)

Schools:
KI - BLUE
(Mainly Close combat, high-cost ranged combat school) Mainly focuses on ''melee combat'' and movement (Dash/Jump) User that uses this has a BLUE aura

Psychic - RED
Psychic users have mainly medium range attacks, but also a few long and short. They almost don't have erase skills though, so they are fucked if you have them. They glow a red aura and contain the LEVITATE/AIRWALK flying skills and 2 strong skills are PSYCHO BLADE and Psychic Kinetic (Psycho Blade: a 5 cost 5 hit energy blade that is used on short range) (Psychic Kinetica: a 2 cost ? hit skill that allows you to throw a OBJECT at an enemy, there must be an object to throw in the environment AND the damage depends on the object, the bigger, the deadlier)

Faith - PURPLE
These guys mainly focus on their will to affect those without it, most of the skills have requirements or penalty's, like a penalty of 3 health (you lose 3 health) Or requirements like (must have 7 health or lower), The faith skills have them more than others, however some may be strong, and their 1 USE skills may have the ability to be HELD if you have the aura to ''cast it again'' They have purple aura's

Nature - GREEN
Nature skills have no down side, low cost low damage and high cost high damage. They have a great arsenal of attacks, one of their more powerful is VACUUM BLADE, 3 cost 7 hit close range.
They also are the only one with STRONG RAIN type attacks (read further below) and they got a handy TORNADO skill. They also have healing skills, so they might get dirty :P

Optic - YELLOW
Optical skills are mainly lasers, long and medium range, and maybe 2 or 3 short. This means they must keep long distance to do damage. And most are or VERY low cost, VERY weak or VERY high cost, very damaging. So you have to hop a huge gap to make a chance. However they got a few handy spells, they rely on ARC skills too much.
I don't play with this style since I dont have too many skills of them in my arsenal :P

ARSENAL: Basically the ''Deck'' you have that contains all your skills (this comes later in the game and is used in multiplayer)

TYPES of orbs

Attack Orbs:
ARC: The skill gets used as a frisbee
PARABELO: It gets thrown in a bow (Its route is the shape of a rainBOW)
Normal: Just straight, and on closed range skills it just goes around the player
High-Homing: these go after the target, so they just follow their path.

Defense Orbs:
Shelter: FRONT protection only, handy if the opponent in front of you attacks

Barrier: 360* Protection
Course: Change the Course of an attack (for example send it back in an arc instead of a parabelo)
Reflect: "Counter" the attack and send it back the same way it came.
Brush: ''slap'' the attack away
I recommend Shelter/Barrier with ANTI-PIERCE added since they allow you to have a lot of protection + Pierce effects dont count (that the damage you have left counts when you break through a defense)

Erase/Special
OVERALL: These affect everyone

Enviromental: These affect the ENVIROMENT and add a new ''rule'' like 50% aura cost or only weak skills

Here's my recommended list

1 SCHOOL (your aura regeneration will go faster then)

PSYCHIC:
Psycho Blade x2
Psycho Knife x2
Psycho Sniper x1
WindWalk (airwalk, w/e) 1x
Psycho lance
Psychic Wall x1
Psycho Barrier x2
Wall

Gotta warn you though, if you're like me, and you MUST complete it on Normal AND higher, be sure to TOTALLY FIGURE OUT YOUR ARSENAL.

Because if you don't, you'll get owned big time if you don't sort stuff out :P

I played about 2 hours online yesterday,... and I LOVE it!!

Unfortunately,.. there are a handful of hardcores already, who make it hard for n00b's like me to advance.

You need 5000 in currency to buy an arsenal, and without one, you can't join other games.
I'm going to be on tonight, or possibly today,... as soon as I go see the Ring 2.

I just got mine from Gamestop today and I'm just at Chapter 3 and putting together my first arsenal. I've played a bit of online but got spanked so I think I better rethink my deck and get some better skills from the single player... definitely a beautiful and unique game though.

I'd say its crossbreed of Cowboy Bebop, Akira and DBZ in the sense of the characters, powers, setting and storyline. Gameplays is alot like a third person shooter but with 300 guns to choose from, force fields, and all kinds of other bizarre tricks.

What I've deducted is:

2. This game has no real clan feature. So even though we can't all be one big group, just add all the CAG's who play the game to your friend's list. Does anybody else feel that Nintendo should make a new Pokemon game like. When I was younger, I (sadly) liked the TV show, and while the games were good they were much more dry than the battles on the show. I would love to see something of the same style as Phantom Dust.

Anyway, everyone should buy this game. It's like the new Katamari Damacy. Admittedly, it doesn't have the same universal appeal, but it is a quirky Japanese gem on the cheap.
