Diablo III confirmed....sort of

I ran into a friend of mine that I havent seen in a while, and I found out that he's now a manager of some sort at Blizzard, I asked him if he could confirm if Diablo III is being worked on and he said: "Yep" he was in a rush so I couldnt get details.

I didn't care for it much, from the amount I played of Diablo I. I played single player only, and couldnt beat the first boss guy (The Butcher?)...I'd like to see what they do with 3 though. Oh, on a side note, video game news sites also hinted at a Diablo 3 in the makes cause Blizzard put up a job position opening for it, or a game that sounds like it.

It was originally supposed to come on in 2003, then bumped to 2004, and now it's supposed to come out in 2005 sometime. Blizzard changed developers in 2004 so that may account for why it's been bumped to 2005. I know there's been a rumor (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/02/11/news_6118466.html)
that it may come out for next generation consoles, so who knows when it'll finally be released.

Me too! While I'm definitely looking forward to Diablo 3 they need to get Starcraft 2 out, pronto.

God, Diablo I was AWESOME. The trick with the Butcher is that you can't fight him the first time you see him. You need to level up and go down a few levels and then fight him. Always have a townportal open in case you need to escape, and use LOTS of health potions.

If you have a CompUSA in your area, check that out -- also there's generally a budget PC game area at my BestBuy that has one or two. If you pay more than $5 for it you're getting taken for a ride.
