That DBZ Budokai (PS2) price seems abnormally high, I thought it was GH title?

Viewtiful Joe is worth getting new at that price shipped, could be better, but it's a great game nonetheless.
I thought that the DBZ for PS2 is a greatest hits for $20 since they made a 2nd one. Oh well, I'm not getting it either way.

Hmm... At eb budokai for ps2 is 19.99 new or 14.39 used with coupon PPLAY20. Free shipping there as well.
Shipping is only $1.40 per game. I wish other companies that charge shipping costs got the hint and realized there are cheaper shipping methods and rates available - too may $4-5 fees out there. Considering what a deal breaker shipping alone can be, it seems wise to try and minimize that cost. Outpost and Amazon being fine examples of ridiculous S/H costs.
Anyway, I saw these deals at vgtalk.com (I noticed the overstock "exclusive" deals typically are the same between CAG and VGTalk??) - however, they mentioned that you had to order each game seperately because each additional game you add to your cart cancels the previous discount on the previous game in your cart. In other words, you can't combine your orders and get the multiple discounts nor in order to save on shipping (even though 2 items would still cost $2.80 to ship according to their tiered setup.. 3 starts to save you money). Just something I found odd..

Hmm... -$4 for "deal" on Castlevania + $1.50 shipping = $2.50 savings! Joy! And you have to wait for it to be delivered! Sweet!

If you go to Costco budokai for GC is only $12, you kind of have to dig thru the GC games to find them though.

What's so bad about that? We need to keep CheapyD's spirits up...If we don't, he'll become depressed and commit suicide by hanging himself with an old NES controller. Once he's dead, who's going to run the site? Huh? Huh?

How is that castlevania game I have heard mixed reviews
jlarlee: Eh - it's not Castlevania. It has nothing to do with it being 3d because it looks pretty good and has a castlevania feel (look wise)- it has to do with the repetative, linear and 2d layout nature of the game. The aspects that made old CastleVanias so great are pretty much non existent here. Very few secret rooms accessed by whipping walls, jeez - very few _anything_ gotten via whipping walls or anything else (in fact, the only thing really "whippable" aside from enemies are torches and braziers). Very little use of tiered 3d layouts - basically, you enter and exit a series of flat rooms that are copied like mad and laid out in a linear fashion. There is hardly a need to jump ever, you just run on the ground into another boring flat room that looks similiar to the one you were just in... rinse and repeat. The upgrade system also pales in comparison to even the GBA games of late. The RPG-ish elements are very dumbed down and feel more Devil May Cry than anything (upgrade through key items only).
It feels like a game produced in a short amount of time too... it's solid, but so cut-n-paste in nature that it's hard to really get into some of the areas. Music is nice, graphics are good, enemies are cool and the combo system works well, but it's just missing those 'CastleVania' elements. There is nothing really tying it to CastleVania other than the story. I want to whip blocks and see a cooked turkey drop dammit! :)
I'd wait for a price point of $20 or lower personally.

If you are going to get Castlevania: LOI, I'd recommend getting it new from EBGames.com (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/234679.asp), and hope that they still include the music sampler (it states "while supplies last"). I think that is definitely worth the extra few dollars. I ordered and received it at the beginning of February.

Sounds like another example of people worrying about graphics before gameplay. i dunno why companies are so afraid to make 2D games I feel it's still a genre with some life

Any self respecting gamer wouldn't do it that way in fear of damaging the controller!

Plus, everyone knows the NES controller cable isn't long enough to tie a proper Hangman's Knot. You need the RF Switch cable for that.
