Umm, Amazon only charges tax on orders shipped to WA, ND, and KS. If you live in GA (your profile says you do), they don't charge you tax.

Damn all of you - I picked up Arx Fatalis in store today. BTW, the one clerk at EB in King of Prussia, PA said the title has been discontinued, which is why it has dropped to $19.99. Apparently it's been labeled as such in the computer. In other words, once it's gone you'll only be able to find it PO for $27.99.

Arx Fatalis blows. You're not missing anything.

Let me elaborate a bit. It's like an ultra-linear version of Morrowind (with worse graphics), and you're just in one big cave the whole time. Everything has a really cheesey echoing sound to it, and I can understand that in the cave... but why would that happen in a tavern? It did have a decent spell system, though. The NPC creatures look sprited, and they don't seem to have animations for half their movements, so they end up gliding all over the place. Very unpolished and subpar game.

I have to throw in my two bits about arx fatalis. The game is not morrowind and it isn't supposed to be. Yes the two games have some things in common but they really could not be more different.

Arx Fatalis is inspired from the old Ultima Underworld games from the early 90s which were far more linear and story based than Morrowind. The games graphics could use some work but once you get through the first couple hours the game really picks up. If you have not played Morrowind then it is worth getting first because it is the better game. Otherwise, you will get your money's worth out of Arx at 20 bucks.
