The boxes on the shelves should be presell boxes with gifts! At Best Buy, a $10 deposit will get you a free Doom 3 t-shirt :P . A $5 deposit at Gamestop will get you a small figurine :) , similar to the ones that were given away in the PC Presell promotion last year. EB may have a similar promotion.
During the PC promotion last year, the Doom 3 presell figurines ran out fast :evil: . So, if you decide to get the figurines, it might be a good idea :idea: to order soon.

damn i'm stupid. i was on my way out of the mall and ran into a sam goody's for the hell of it. i was in there less than 5 minutes...no deals whatsoever, but i did see doom3. usually they have a sticker that say preorder or something. these were just there with the others like it was in stock. oh well, i'll bump this again at release.

I'll pick up my CE on Tuesday, since I don't want to be up all night for a game.....it was lame when we did it for Halo2

I also thought I read it would have 2-4 player death match over Live to, which isn't exactly alot of players for DM but is something to do on the side.

I have this game for Xbox, i played 2 hours straight of Co Op over XBC last night. God damn it's awesome.
EDIT: Double Down- you can play Co Op via XBL or System Link.
EDIT: Also Classic Doom's aren't system link or XBL compatible. Just 4 player Split screen via 1 TV and regular campaign mode, that are slightly refab'd.

doom 1 and 2, its possible, but you cant play it over xbl...only on your console

Doubtful since Xbox 2 will be out at the end of the year. Most Xbox games shouldn't cost much come next year this time.

So, the game is coming out tonight at MIDNIGHT, correct? I was just curious, since I will pick it up tomorrow at GameRush. I wasn't sure if it was tonight (sun/mon monrning) at midnight or tomorrow at midnight.
Now that I got all that EB credit I'll definitely be picking this up. Hope the co-op rocks as much as people have said it does.
My local EB said they'll have it in stock tomorrow morning the minute they open and that they have plenty of copies available for everyone.
