Hmm...

So I just came back from GameCrazy, where I discovered the MVP card. It's pretty much a godsend considering I'm broke for the most part.

Anyways, I'm contemplating whether to buy NBA Ballers. I already have NBA Street 2, but I might trade that in. Anyone play this yet? It looks like its just an upgraded NBA Jam with better graphics.

If not NBA Ballers, what new release XB game should I get? I have it narrowed down to 007 EoN or Ninja Gaiden.

Thanks in advance.

Gaiden...Do you have SCPT? Im thinking yes from your icon...Id wait for EoN to go down to 20...which it will like every other James Bond game...Best bet is gaiden or if you dont have SCPT def. get that

don't trade in NBA Street, as you'll be lucky to get more than $5 for it. I'd go for Ninja Gaiden as you get more bang for your buck. 20+ hours for NG, whereas I've heard EON is only ~10. Of course, if you don't have Pandora Tomorrow, pick it up at CC next week for $37 like I will.

I just got SCPT today matter of fact. I was leaning towards Gaiden, but I want a good multiplayer game.

I was reading in reviews but it wasn't very clear about 007 having only coop modes? Can anyone verify that? If not that might be the deal breaker...

Err.. I think that guy who posted the CC deals made a mistake. The $37 was for LOTR not SCPT if I'm not mistaken. =/

I don't like any of those choices...

What do you recommend then, Banky?

(I'm thinking it might be KOTOR)

007 has a pretty fun coop game for x-box you have top do a few missions but fun. I really liked the new bond game. Lots of action. Its like syphon filter meets goldeneye!

I haven't played any multiplayer, but have heard coop is fun, but again short. The arena doesn't sound too stellar, but if you want multiplayer, then by all means go for EON. Oh, and thanks for telling me about the PT and ROTK mix-up, I hadn't seen the thread since he changed it. Still gotta go to CC to pick up a new controller s, though.

First off: keep Street. What you'll get in return makes it a complete waste to trade it in.

With that said...I'd take the Banky route and go with KOTOR if you don't already own it. From what I've played (all 15 minutes of it), it looks like a great game...and the reviews are...glowing, perhaps?

No prob st0neface. I'm probably going to pick up a new controller or two as well.

So, has anyone played NBA Ballers? I've seen some movies of it on IGN and it looks decent enough.

i'd go for ninja gaiden, that games really fun. but if ur looking for something with multiplayer u should go with 007 (i think it has a multi player mode anyway).

Haha, you wouldn't be wrong, and I almost said it when I first replied, but I'll refrain. Though, keep in mind I'm not a huge Star Wars fan and my attention for playing games for long periods is a lot shorter than it used to be, yet KotOR hooked me for 50 hours over 12 days.

Other than that, I dunno...I'm not really interested in anything that's a "new release."

KOTOR is a great game, but the reason I didn't mention it... is that I have it on PC already. I played a bit of it but am not really in the 'RPG mood' currently. It's in my gaming 'to-play' list though.

Out of curiosity, have you beaten Metal Arms yet? I'm about 2/3rds of the way through, and I don't think I died this often in Ninja Gaiden. I really want to play more, but its sometimes a struggle just because I'm almost certainly going to walk away from my xbox in a bad mood.

That's funny that you mention Metal Arms, because I'm playing right now. I haven't had much time to play really, but I just want to get this crap over with so I can play something else...

I don't know how far I am, but I just beat that gigantic junkyard robot and I'm infilitrating the Mil base. I agree though, this game is hard as hell, and it always leaves me angry. You'd think a Level 2 rocket launcher would do at least some damage. Grr.

Definitely a good game though. The corny dialogue they put in makes me chuckle at times I'll admit it and keeps me from being overly frustrated.

I'm on level 26, the one where you take the RAT through Mil City and looking for an entrance to the ruins. If you think the level 2 RL is worthless, just wait for the 3rd level, it shoots 4 at once, and somewhat homes in on an enemy.

I'm sitting on Metel Arms now. I started playing it for about two hours, then got hooked on Ninja Gaiden. Now that game is history and I was just about to start jamming on MA, but from what you guys are posting I think I may have anger management issues with this game before long.

What difficulty level are you guy's playing? How many hours have you put into this game? I'd like to get some opinions on this game if anyone else has anything to post.

I've been playing on normal, and it's still pwning me. I've probably put close to 20 hrs into the game, since I had to start levels over so much. The game is fun, and I find myself coming back to it every day, since its still fun.

magilacudy

I'm playing on Normal. I'm not really sure how many hours I've put into it as I have the habit of leaving the game running while I post or chat. I'd estimate about 10 hours gametime. I checked my file, I'm only on level 11 right now.

The game isn't really that hard, its just that they put checkpoints so far apart that it seems ridiculous. Its not so bad at first, but when you get to the junkyard it starts almost getting unfair. They throw a couple of ridiculous enemies at you with a bunch of regular guys for good measure. The regular grunts die in one hit with your RL but big guys either respawn or can take a hell of a lot of damage. There's a lot of enemies and space you have to cover before the next checkpoint triggers.

It gets really frustrating when you repeatedly complete objectives and die stupidly by falling into a river, or just when it seems like you're not doing any damage against a boss or even regular enemies!

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm going to shelve this for a while . My buddy just dropped off Armed and Dangerous and Brute Force. I started playing A&D and got hooked when I acquired the Land Shark Gun (one of the coolest weapons ever). After I smack this puppy down I think I'll tackle MA. Thanks again

Can't speak for NBA Ballers, but I can tell you that EoN has a pretty fun co-op mode. It's rather short, as has been stated before. The Arena VS mode is absolute crap. The single player game is VERY similar to Syphon Filter. It is NOTHING like Goldeneye, unless you consider 'both games have guns and James Bond' as being 'alike'.

Decent game, but not as good as Ninja Gaiden. Keep in mind Ninja Gaiden is pretty damn hard.
