I saw this on penny arcade, and figured many of you would be interested. There's this game called Tumiki Fighters and it's a 2D side scroller like ikaruga. It's a free shareware game, but it's amazingly good for shareware. Though less ambitious its gameplay is on par with that of ikaruga. But intead of switching from black to white you instead have to collect parts of enemy ships after you kill 'em. Here's the link to the designer's site http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/

He's got some other games on there too, which I haven't played yet, but sound cool too.

It can't be a "free shareware" game. Either the license allows you to keep it without paying for it, or it doesn't.

yep theyre all free. tumeki fighters is great, but i recomend all of them. they are brilliant, free old school shooters. tons of fun at the best price.

it has an ikaruga mode, giga wing mode, and 2 other modes...

ok, you found it on penny arcade, but go to insertcredit.com as well. CAG and insert credit are the only two sites i visit frequently, and they should get a lot of credit.

rRootage is the Ikaruga like game.

It has a IKA-mode, that works just like Ikaruga.

BUY IKARUGA if you don't have it already ;)

I have played all those games ages ago, but they are great!

If you haven't played any of the other games on this site, go for this one first (rRootage). It's quite cool if you're a fan of shooters.

Hehe. I know this guy. He made Noiz. That's one of my favorite Palm games. It gets ridiculously hard.
