Nintendogs Release Details Announced [Mobile/Archive]

Nintendo has revealed that when it releases its dog simulator Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS this April, the game will come in three unique packages, each with its own specific content.

Each version of Nintendogs will include 5 specific breeds of dogs to play with, train, and care for on the DS' dual-screen setup.

Nintendogs: Dachshund will feature the Miniature Schauzer, Yorkshire Terrier, Miniature Dachshund, German Shepherd, and Pug. Nintendogs: Chihuahua will include the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Chihuahua, Shih Tzu, Labrador Retriever, and Beagle. Nintendogs: Shiba will host the Shetland Sheepdog, Miniature Pinscher, Shiba, Welsh Corgie Puppy, and Toy Poodle.

Though Nintendo hasn't revealed details on wireless connectivity, you'll most likely have to trade between versions to collect all the dogs, similar to the mechanic used in Nintendo's popular Pokemon franchise. All three versions of Nintendogs will be available April 21st for 4800 yen each in Japan. The game, known as Puppy Times in the US, currently has no release date in North America.

Why doesn't NA get any release dates? We got the system first, but they get the games, it's very discouraging.

I liked their working title better, Puppy Times.

I'll be getting the Dachshund version cause I have a miniature one with black fur. His name is vader. I might get the version with the Lab as well because ever since my Lab died I have missed him so much. Not a day goes by where I don't think about him. Maybe this will be my way of remembering him. :oops:

Wow, I'm just not sure what to say. I mean, the PSP may be just PS2 ports but what would you even call this? A dog simulator? Just go adopt one from the pound if you want this kind of experience. What's next? A breathing simulator where you use the sylus to move a chest up and down, oh and you can blow into the mic too!

Edit-Wait, the release date is in April, its probably an April Fools joke I guess. Kind of feel dumb now that I fell for it.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I just assumed it would be the same, that they had scrapped the "Puppy Times" title. :oops:

I've wtched alot of stuff for this game, and this will probably be a very good game... a substatute for Seaman...

This game looks really cool, I wonder if I'm going to be able to wait for the US version or if I'll bit the bullet and import a copy.

kind of remides me of a realistic version of Dogz.

SOMEONE ANSWER IM GOIN CRAZAY ok in the us version is it going to be 3 different versions ? is so that sux why dont they just combine all the versions together:roll: because im gonna have to buy 2 versions cuz i want the husky and the Chihuahua pups:cold: :hot:

And thats why there are three versions.. besides the fact that they probably couldnt get it to fit on one sd card.

In the three versions, you're only limited to 5 dogs when you start. Throughout the game, all 15 can be unlocked in every version.

this is probably the only DS game ill be getting (in terms of new releases) before nintendo launches their ds online service.
