With all the cool features and awesome line up of games for the PSP, lack of games on the DS and announcement on GBA successor coming this fall, who is considering getting rid of their DS to purchase a PSP?

I definately want to get a PSP but not sure if I should keep the DS, I have a feeling it might end up like the Virtual Boy.

What are your thoughts?

I have a DS and I'm keeping it. I wouldn't be getting a PSP but with the TRU\EB deal mine is free so I can't complain.

I'm not sure yet. If Nintendo's March announcement doesn't impress me, I'll sell my DS, and get some PSP games. I can always buy it later, probably for cheaper or with new colors. Right now though, the game situation, or lack there of, is too much for me.

Not me. First off I got my DS very cheap, secondly I didn't buy it because I thought it would be the next gameboy, I bought it because I felt there were enough good games slated for release that I wanted to play. Unless Nintendo cancels, the Shin Megami Tensei game, Final Fantasy game, Castlevania Game, and Animal Crossing game I'll be keeping my DS.

None of the above. I don't have a DS yet, but will get one, along with a PSP eventually...

After seeing the new colors, I may be trading/selling my DS to get another DS. That white one is hot.

same thing here. I wanted a PSP anyway, but I probably would've waited to get one if I hadn't been so luck with TRU/EB

Hopefully me. I want to trade my DS and my iPod in and use that to get a PSP, a 1GB card and some games.

When are places going to get PSP displays? I just came from EB a little while ago, and there was like a two by two sign with a little picture of the PSP on it that said "pre-order now" Isn't Sony going to advertise?

I'm waiting till the first revison comes out for the PSP. I don't trust Sony enough to buy first Gen stuff from them. Plus there are no games coming out any time soon that I really want to play. So in the end I'll be getting a PSP with less bugs and cheaper games.

Plus I'm happy with my DS, But I might trade my curent DS in for the new Blue one. Man I love these new colors.

My DS is still on probation. If the flow of new releases picks up in a few months it won;t be long before the launch drought is just a memory, like the early days of the N64.

The PSP, OTOH, I wouldn't be getting this year at all if it weren't for the effective 70% discount I managed to get off the hardware and initial game purchases.

Neither. Im currently selling my SP for some cash to maybe buy a DS. Ill get it for cheap and it is rumored to become a "PDA" or whatever (which I actually need) so yeah :).

I'm keeping my DS because it will have the one thing the PSP will never have: Mario Kart. I love the GBA version so much, and I can't wait to play MK with my friends.

I love my DS. The PSP could be good, but I'll wait until the price drops. At $150 or less, I would have bit...at $250, I'll never do it.

I'll probably keep my DS for practical reasons, being that I don't like to get poor trade-in values for things. Anyhow, even though the DS has almost nothing to play....I have some games to look forward to, and I love playing my GBA games on my SP. The upper screen looks great. Anyhow, I'll be getting a PSP...and to be quite honest, there is just as little that is "new" that I want to play. I have the PS and PS2 versions of all of these games except for the handful that I have put my money down on.

I'm not sure if I'm keeping my DS, but I have no intention of buying a PSP at this time.

Jersey and NY malls have advertisements for the PSP. I have seen PSP cube card board boxes.

Keeping my DS. Have enjoyed it thus far and am looking forward to many of the games coming. Plus, I expect that Nintendo announce their online plans with the DS soon making it even better.

I'm definitely holding off on the PSP. Definitely don't trust Sony on first gen hardware. Been burned already once being an early Playstation adopter. Won't do it again. I figure in a year or so once the price goes down and the kinks are worked out, I might consider it if there are killer apps for it.

Also, FYI, Nintendo did not announce that the next GB would come out this year. A guy at CNN or something speculated that in an article and it just got blown out of proportion. I can say with almost certainty that there is no way Nintendo would release the next GB this year. If they were smart, they might showcase it a little at this E3 as it would give people an idea on what's coming out soon (and to disuade people from buying a PSP) but there's no way they'll want to release the next GB so soon on the heals of the DS(even if they are catering to different audiences).
